The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners ‘The Trial’ for Oculus Quest Has Been Delayed

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners

After managing to bring The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners natively to the Oculus Quest platform in October, just before Christmas developer Skydance Interactive revealed The Trial horde mode would be arriving this month. That’s now been pushed back the studio has announced today.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners

In a tweet, the studio said: “We know you’re all excited for The Trial’s launch on Oculus Quest, but we wanted to share an update that the release date will be pushed back a bit. We are just as eager for you all to jump into this new mode, and will have more information for you soon.” With no further information, it’s unclear when the update will be released.

The Walking Dead: Saint & Sinners – ‘The Trial’ was originally due to arrive this Wednesday as a free update, allowing players to dispense with the campaign and simply fight wave after wave of walkers in glorious combat. Now fans of the videogame will have to wait to use explosives to score multi-kills or increase their multiplier with decapitations and headshots for scoreboard greatness.

This arcade mode isn’t just about turning the action up to 11 either. Score big points and you’ll be able to access new weapons, all of which are available from the main game. Stamina and health boosts are there to help in a pinch, plus if you have time then get crafting. Several arenas are selectable for you to test those survival skills.

In its review of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners VRFocus said: “From the very beginning, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners offers a satisfying zombie experience that’s hard to match. Titles like Arizona Sunshine easily fill that need for straight-up arcade action, for when you want a living dead apocalypse with a bit more depth then The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is your new go-to videogame.”

Not tried The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners yet? It made it onto VRFocus’ Best Oculus Quest Games of 2020‘ so it might be worth a look. When Skydance Interactive come back with a launch date for The Trial, VRFocus will let you know.
