Today, Snail Games’ virtual reality (VR) multiplayer adventure ARK Park has seen its first DLC arrive in the form of Pterosaur Hill, adding new maps, creatures and gameplay for fans.
Built around the concept of flight the DLC features three new maps to explore: Mountain Lake, Crystal Sky Lift, and Aviary, each with its own unique mode of transport. So players can float in a hot air balloon overseeing Mountain Lake; ride the Crystal Sky lift through the clouds; and gaze upon the nest of Quetzalcoatlus – the largest prehistoric flying creature – in the Aviary.
In addition to these new exploration maps Snail Games has included a new battle map; Death Valley so players can hop on a Pterosaur to show off their air combat skills – then traverse the treacherous Death Canyon to find the nest of a fire-breathing dragon.
There are two new battle weapons; the close range Tachi, multi dino killing Shotgun, two new consumable items: Grenade, and Crossbow, a new collecting tool: Scythe, a new resource: Asteroid Rock, 14 new creatures and 8 new subspecies.
The Pterosaur Hill DLC is now available for free on SteamVR, Windows Mixed Reality, and PlayStation VR. Oculus Store and Viveport are both expected to receive the DLC in early July.
