Humble Fall VR Bundle Includes Saints & Sinners For Just $17

The Humble Fall VR Bundle just launched today and includes up to 8 great VR games like The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners at an insane value of only $17.

Just like all Humble Bundles, you get to choose the amount you pay and customize how much of your money goes towards Humble, how much goes towards charities, and how much goes towards the developers.

Humble VR Fall Bundle

This bundle is available in four tiers: paying at least $1 gives you A-Tech Cybernetic, Archangel: Hellfire – Fully Loaded, and Killing Floor Incursion; paying at least $10 adds Raw Data to the bundle; paying at least $12.75 adds I Expect You To Die and Creed: Rise to Glory to the bundle; and finally paying at least $17 adds The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners and Zero Caliber to the bundle.

All games are provided via Steam keys, so they should work using an SteamVR headset such as a Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, or Windows MR device.

There have been lots of great VR game deals this year, but this might take the cake for sheer value. Each of the games in this bundle are quite good and worth playing, so getting them all so cheaply is a real steal. The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is, without a doubt, one of the best VR games to date so it’s worth the price of the bundle alone for sure. Everything else is just gravy.

Do you plan on grabbing the Humble Fall VR Bundle? The deal is live for two weeks so you have until around November 24th to pull the trigger. Let us know down in the comments below!

Zero Caliber Creator XREAL Games Teases 4-Player Co-op ‘Gambit!’

Gambit Poster

Virtual reality (VR) XREAL Games is known for its shooters, having previously released sci-fi horror A-Tech Cybernetic and military FPS Zero Caliber. Back in February the studio detailed plans for both of these videogames whilst noting that another project was on the cards. Today, the first teasing details have been revealed for Gambit!.

Gambit Poster

Unlike its previous titles, XREAL Games has gone for a co-op multiplayer with Gambit! Supporting up to four players, it’s going to be an action experience designed for PC VR headsets.

“Set in a pre-apocalyptic world slowly moving towards its demise, Gambit! follows four close-knit mercenaries, whose life is turned upside down after they blow their biggest assignment yet, infuriating their influential client,” explains the studio’s synopsis.

The gameplay will be split between three chapters, each consisting of large maps filled with unlockable content to find. Players will have access to a diverse selection of weapons and from the sounds of it there’ll be leveling up involved to encourage players to keep returning, accessing further kit the more time and effort is put in.

Zero Caliber

Gambit! isn’t a purely multiplayer title as the campaign is also playable solo. When mates are available there will be a deathmatch feature so they can go head-to-head if cooperating on the battlefield gets boring.

No gameplay footage or screenshots have been released at the moment, XREAL Games plans on doing that later this year. Currently, Gambit! is expected to arrive in 2021.

In addition to Gambit!, the studio is also working on the PlayStation VR port of Zero Caliber. Previously slated for a release in Q2 this year, that’s now been moved to Q3 2020. As XREAL Games releases further updates VRFocus will let you know.

XREAL Games Detail Updates for Zero Caliber, A-Tech Cybernetic ‘Almost’ Ready for PlayStation VR Release

At present virtual reality (VR) developer XREAL Games has two videogames in Early Access on Steam, A-Tech Cybernetic  from 2017 and 2018s Zero Caliber. The studio recently released a devlog detailing plans for both titles with PlayStation VR support of top importance.

Zero Caliber

XREAL Games first mentioned plans to bring both videogames to PlayStation VR late last year with A-Tech Cybernetic slated for Q1 2020 and Zero Caliber for Q2 2020. In the latest update community manager Daniel Nyirfa has said that sci-fi shooter A-Tech Cybernetic is in: “the final, final, final state, the current version is almost release ready,” and the launch should be really soon.

In addition to work on the PlayStation VR version, the PC edition hasn’t been forgotten. The team will be rolling out an update featuring Valve Index controller support, stability improvements and smaller changes to the Swarm mode.

A-Tech Cybernetic is a nightmarish first-person shooter (FPS) set within the confines of a biomedical facility. All sorts of horrific mutants have overrun the facility and you need to use an assortment of guns and special abilities to survive. There’s a Story mode split across several chapters or the Swarm mode with a collection of maps to choose from and complete.

A-Tech Cybernetic VR

When it comes to Zero Caliber Nyirfa mentions quite a few plans for the military FPS. Slated to appear over the course of 2020 is a player customisation system, improved hand model, more maps as well as reworking current maps, weapon handling enhancements and continuing work on PvP and the dedicated servers.

As for PlayStation VR support, that work is still ongoing but the main news is that XREAL Games wants to keep the attachment system so Zero Caliber will only work with PlayStation Move controllers.

On top of all of this, the team plans on starting a new project; or as Nyirfa puts it ‘a new quest’. Could this be a cheeky hint at an Oculus Quest title? With everything else going on details might take a little time to surface.

See the full developer log below and for further updates on A-Tech Cybernetic and Zero Caliber, keep reading VRFocus.

Zero Caliber PSVR Port ‘Going Very Well’, A-Tech Cybernetic PSVR ‘Right Around The Corner’

XREAL Games has good news for PSVR fans awaiting ports of its two games, A-Tech Cybernetic and Zero Caliber.

A-Tech Cybernetic, a first-person zombie shooter that we’re somewhat fond of, is in its “final, final, final state” of development. That is according to XREAL itself, by way of the developer’s recent update video. The team is currently working on PlayStation Store information for the game and expects release to be right around the corner.

A-Tech sees players awaken in a strange facility on an alien planet, overrun with zombie-like enemies. You need to shoot your way through the base and work out what exactly is going on. We’ve always liked the game’s considered pacing.

Meanwhile on the PC VR front, the game is soon to get an update adding in support for Valve’s Index Controllers.

There was also an update on Zero Caliber, the developer’s newest shooter. 2020 will include new maps and optimizations for the game, which remains in Early Access on SteamVR. XREAL is also working on a PSVR port of that, which it says is “going very well”. In order to keep the game’s extensive weapon attachment system in place, this version of the title will only support PlayStation Move controllers. Zero Caliber is a polished modern shooter that we like to stream from time-to-time.

No word yet on possible Oculus Quest versions of either game. Will you be picking up the Zero Caliber PSVR port or the console version of A-Tech Cybernetic? Let us know in the comments below!

Zero Caliber VR has the Oculus Store in its Sights This Month

XREAL Games’ Zero Caliber VR entered Steam Early Access in November 2018, giving virtual reality (VR) gamers another choice in the ever growing field of tactical first-person shooters (FPS). Today, the studio has announced that the title will be heading to Oculus Store later this month.

Zero Caliber

The release for Oculus Store will still be in Early Access, featuring all the latest content and updates. In a recent posting on Steam, XREAL Games outlined how it plans on improving Zero Caliber VR, with the next update being a major overhaul. A big chunk of that will be for the AI system – both for enemies and teammates. The studio acknowledges that the current AI isn’t up to scratch so the AI behaviour and animations are getting reworked to be much more lifelike. Plus, the aiming system will be upgraded so the characters move smoothly rather than there current choppy fashion.

Being an intense FPS movement is highly important, not only for gameplay but also comfort. Having already implemented a ‘Comfort Mode’, the next update will slow everything down to further improve the comfort – strafing, crouching, moving backwards. Additionally, depending on weapon type, players will only be able to run when they’re not aiming.

As well as improving AI and movement XREAL Games will be altering the campaign’s first map ‘Timber’ to make it less performance intensive, a setup guide will be introduced to help make all the setting less bewildering, hand animations are being improved, and a new gun is being added, the Steyr AUG assault rifle.

Zero Caliber

That’s not all the team has planned. They’re already working on two new singleplayer/coop maps, with PvP mode in the works too, which could be in a beta-ready state next month.

Zero Caliber VR will be released on the Oculus Store on 15th March, which should be the same day as the Steam update. Cross-platform co-op mode between Oculus Store and Steam won’t work initially, with XREAL Games saying the feature should be available reasonably soon after launch. For further updates, keep reading VRFocus.

Zero Caliber VR’s Early Access Release Hits Next Month

Not to be confused with the other military style shooter Zero Killed coming this winter, XREAL Games’ Zero Caliber VR is now supposedly due to hit Steam Early Access next month. Those who like the look of the title will be able to download a demo version in the next few weeks.

Zero Caliber

With a story set in the usual dystopian future where everything has gone to hell, and war is the norm, Zero Caliber VR features a campaign that allows for both single-player and multiplayer co-op. For the Early Access release XREAL Games will have the core mechanics laid down, so for instance the physics based interactions, customisable weapons and their various attachments plus the first half of the storyline.

For the full launch in early 2019 Zero Caliber VR will see the second half of the story, an increase in the available weapons plus dedicated co-op missions which are shorter in scope.

As for the demo, the studio have been planning on releasing it for several months, VRFocus first reported on it happening back in July with a planned released due to take place in August. That was then pushed back until September with the team now confirming a 25th October arrival.

Zero Caliber

Realism is key in Zero Caliber’s design, extending from its gameplay through to the weapons, with players having to find cover, duck, crouch, sneak, peek around a corner, and clear obstacles with real-life movements rather than going in Rambo style. All the weapons have been modelled on their real-life counterparts, each having its own unique reloading method as well as customisation options to make them even more lethal.

Zero Caliber VR will hit Early Access on 9th November, 2018, both on Steam, the Oculus Store and Viveport. In the Oculus Store, there will be a pre-purchase period offering a 15 percent discount starting on 25th October. For any further updates to Zero Caliber VR, keep reading VRFocus.

Tactical Shooter Zero Caliber Gets Early Access Launch Date, PSVR Support Confirmed

Tactical Shooter Zero Caliber Gets Early Access Launch Date, PSVR Support Confirmed

More tactical VR shooting is heading your way very soon.

A-Tech Cybernetic developer XREAL Games today confirmed to UploadVR that its anticipated modern shooter, Zero Caliber, will launch via Steam Early Access on November 9th for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. On October 25th, however, the studio will launch a free demo that’s available up until the Early Access release.

Expect both the demo and EA release to offer the game’s opening tutorials and the first story mission, which can be played either on your own or with a friend. The Early Access release will also add two more levels, forming half the campaign. More levels will be added to the game throughout Early Access. We don’t yet know when the full version will launch, although A-Tech is still in pre-releasing having first launched on Steam back in March 2017, so it could be a while yet.

We’ve been looking forward to Zero Caliber for a little while now; its trailers suggest it’ll offer a polished, realistic shooter experience that will give fans of both single and multiplayer games something to look forward to.

Meanwhile, over on Twitter, XREAL also confirmed that work on a PSVR version of the game had also begun.

That’s great news for sure, but does Zero Caliber have the chops to go toe-to-toe with Firewall Zero Hour? We’ll find out in a few months’ time. Don’t forget there’s Zero Killed on the way very soon too. Why do VR developers love the word ‘zero’?

VR FPS Zero Caliber’s Alpha Gets A Date, Here’s How To Sign-Up

VR FPS Zero Caliber’s Alpha Gets A Date, Here’s How To Sign-Up

Xreal Games is nearly ready to invite its first Alpha testers to the world of Zero Caliber.

We’ve had an eye on this military shooter for a few months now, largely because its initial trailer looks so polished but also thanks to Xreal’s impressive previous project, A-Tech Cybernetic. Come next week, HTC Vive owners will get to try out the multiplayer action for themselves with an Alpha testing period starting on August 14th. If you’re interested in taking part you’ll need to apply over on the game’s Discord channel by tomorrow. The video below shows you what you can expect.

Note that the Alpha is strictly for Vive owners at this point, so if you have a Rift you won’t be getting an optimized experience. Xreal is also putting anyone that takes part in the testing under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which is worth noting before you jump in.

The Alpha will last until at least August 21st and you’ll be able to leave feedback on the same Discord channel. Following that, Xreal plans to release a public demo for the game that will let Rift owners get in on the fun.

Zero Caliber is set to offer cooperative and competitive online shooter gameplay using realistic weapons. In co-op, you’ll have to strategize to survive against swarms of enemies.

The game is set to arrive in Early Access later this year.
