Viveport Annual Subscribers Receive Free Copy Of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners

Viveport is turning four, and to celebrate HTC is giving a free copy of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners to new and existing users who have an annual subscription to Viveport Infinity. Plus, more game are joining the Viveport Infinity lineup.

Viveport Infinity is HTC’s VR subscription service, allowing you to play and access a select library of VR games, apps and more. Infinity isn’t just available for HTC headsets either — the service supports HTC Vive, Valve Index, Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest via Link and Windows MR headsets.

Similar to Microsoft’s Game Pass service for PC and Xbox games, you only have access to the Infinity content while you remain subscribed to the service. However, in celebration of the Viveport platform turning four, Infinity members who have an annual subscription can redeem a free copy of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners to keep permanently. So even once your annual subscription ends, you’ll still have access to Saints & Sinners through Viveport.

The promotion runs until October 11 and is available to new and existing annual subscribers. If you’re currently a monthly Infinity subscriber, you can upgrade to an annual subscription to take advantage of the offer. New annual subscribers who join before October 11 will also be able to redeem a permanent copy of the game. An annual Infinity membership costs $107.88 total, but there’s a monthly billing option so you can pay in $8.99 installments.

HTC also announced that two new games are joining the Viveport Infinity library — Moss and L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files. Viveport Infinity subscribers should now have access to the titles in their library.

Viveport Infinity is available as a monthly and annual subscription. You can read more about the Saints & Sinners offer for annual subscriptions here.

Viveport Infinity Now Only $27 For The Entire Year In ‘Play At Home’ Sale

Starting today until Sunday, April 19th, all new and renewing subscribers can get 75% off an annual Viveport Infinity subscription. This brings the price down to just $2.25/month, or $27/year.

Previously I called Viveport Infinity an “insane value” in my Vive Cosmos review, which shipped with a year of Viveport Infinity for free before converting to $12.99/month. Now, it’s even more difficult to articulate just how fantastic of a deal the platform is for only $27/year. The only comparable deal in gaming I can think of is Xbox Game Pass.

For those unaware, Viveport Infinity is a paid subscription service in which you are able to download and play any game included in the subscription for no additional cost as long as you are a member. You’re not streaming the content like Netflix or Google Stadia, you actually download it.

Popular games included with a Viveport Infinity subscription include Creed: Rise to Glory, A Fisherman’s Tale, Arizona Sunshine, Tilt Brush, The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets, Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs, Five Nights at Freddy’s VR, Witching Tower, Torn, and many others. In total, there are nearly 1,000 different apps available with Viveport Infinity.

Viveport works with most major PC VR headsets including all HTC Vive and Vive Cosmos headsets, Oculus Rift, Windows MR devices, and the Valve Index.

This massive price drop is limited until April 19th for a big ‘Play At Home Sale’ with Viveport. After that date it will still be discounted, just not as dramatically. The Play At Home Sale is only variable in the  U.S, Canada, France, UK, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Germany, Spain, Russia, and South Korea.

Viveport Infinity VR Subscription Service Now Supports Valve Index

Today HTC have announced that the Valve Index VR headset is being added to the list of supported headsets for the Viveport Infinity app subscription service.

The virtual reality app subscription service Viveport Infinity is now available for Valve’s Index VR headset, HTC announced, bringing all-you-can-watch and -play content to the most deluxe consumer VR platform yet available. Starting today and running through September, Index users will receive two months of free service, regardless of whether they’re already Viveport Infinity members.

For $12 per month — $9 monthly if prepaid annually — Viveport Infinity users get access to hundreds of VR apps and games that can be used across multiple PC VR headsets, including HTC’s own Vive, Oculus Rift, and Windows Mixed Reality headsets. The company says it’s now offering “much more top-rated VR games and apps” to users, thanks to greater developer engagement.

While some have called Viveport Infinity the Netflix of VR, HTC is marketing the service as an opportunity for new VR users to “discover their favorite VR games, apps and videos,” potentially making purchases of content sampled in the library. Infinity adds new apps and games each month to keep its catalog interesting, while also offering Viveport Video content, frequent coupons, and free app giveaways to members.

Valve Index users can take advantage of the free two-month promo deal through this link by downloading the Viveport desktop app and plugging the Index into the PC for verification. New users will begin a two-month trial of Viveport Infinity, while existing users will get two months of free service added to their accounts.

Viveport Infinity the Unlimited VR Subscription Service Will Cost $12.99 per Month

In a bid to make the Viveport subscription service even more tempting for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift users, the platform announced an unlimited version called Viveport Infinity back in January. Due to officially launch on 2nd April, Viveport has now revealed how much the service will actually cost.

Viveport Infinity

To gain unrestricted access to the service’s library of over 600 apps and videogames you’ll need to spend $12.99 USD a month – or $99 per year. That price is applicable if you join the service after 2nd April. As a special offer to entice new customers as well as looking after current subscribers Viveport will be locking the current price of $8.99 per month until the end of the year.

New users can still sign-up for the 14-day free trial then opt to continue their subscription for $8.99 per month, which normally only allows access to five titles per month. So until the end of 2019, they’ll make a decent saving.

“We have built a new model for VR that shines a light on the great library of VR content this industry has developed and gives users a reason to spend more time in headset than ever before,” said Rikard Steiber, President of Viveport in a statement. “At the same time, we’re increasing developer reach and potential revenue as more developers can monetize a single Infinity user. We believe this model matches how consumers want to experience VR.”

Viveport Infinity

Additionally, Viveport is increasing the developer’s share of revenue earned to 80/20 up from 70/30, from 1st April until the end of 2019 – this applies to all titles in Viveport Infinity.

“Through Viveport’s subscription service, we’ve been able to increase our player pool and build a bigger community around The Wizards,” said Paweł Gajda, Head of Marketing and Publishing, Carbon Studios. “Viveport Subscription has become a significant part of our revenue and we can’t wait to connect with even more players thought Infinity.”

Viveport Infinity doesn’t just support Oculus Rift and HTC Vive either. It’ll support any standalone headset using the Vive Wave platform, like HTC Vive Focus and Pico G2 for example.

Viveport Infinity to Bring Unlimited VR Game Downloads to Subscription Members

HTC is bringing a new tier to Viveport Subscription. Announced today at the company’s special CES event, Viveport Infinity will let subscribers download any of 500+ participating games whenever they want without limit.

Up until now, Viveport Subscription members could only download and play five VR titles per month. With Viveport Infinity, the company is letting users to (presumably) upgrade to be able to download an unlimited number of games available through Viveport Subscription.

Members will be able access Viveport Infinity across “all current and future Vive devices” in addition to the Oculus Rift and devices integrated with Vive Wave, the company’s open platform that allows third-party devices access to Viveport.

There’s no pricing available yet, although Viveport Infinity is slated to launch on the company’s ‘Vive Day’ on April 5th this year, so we’re sure to hear more about it in the coming months. HTC says it will be available for a monthly fee.

As it stands now, Viveport Subscription is available with a monthly fee ranging from $6.66 to $20 per month depending on the length of time you choose.

HTC Vive’s Subscription Service Goes Unlimited With Viveport Infinity

One of the core features of HTC Vive’s online retail platform Viveport has always been its subscription service, allowing gamers to pay a monthly fee to access five virtual reality (VR) titles per month. Today, as part of the company’s extensive CES press conference HTC Vive revealed Viveport Infinity, the platform’s first unlimited subscription service.

Viveport Infinity

“Today, we’re announcing our next step in Viveport’s evolution with Viveport Infinity,” said Rikard Steiber, President, Viveport in a statement. “When we first launched our Subscription service, we gave consumers the ability to try 5 titles a month. Now with Viveport Infinity, we’re offering our members the best value in VR content with 100x more choice, all at one low price.”

Viveport Infinity takes the videogame cap off, allowing members to delve into Viveport’s ever-growing library of VR experiences with unrestricted access, helping save them money in the process. Members can download and play any of the 500+ titles in the Viveport Infinity library with no restrictions.

The beauty of this service is that gamers will now have open rein to try VR experiences they may have avoided, or just not bothered with before. Whether that’s a short indie title or a bigger release that maybe didn’t hasn’t had amazing reviews but still seems worth a playthrough.

Viveport Infinity

Viveport Infinity isn’t available just yet, HTC Vive will be launching the service as part of its annual Vive Day celebrations which take place on 5th April. You’ll be able to access Viveport Infinity across all current and future Vive devices as well as the Oculus Rift and other devices in the Wave Eco-system.

If you’ve not tried the Viveport Subscription then all new members get a 14-day free trial, after which they can sign up. HTC Vive hasn’t quoted a price for Viveport Infinity’s monthly membership, that’ll probably be revealed in April.

HTC Vive certainly hasn’t disappointed today, revealing the HTC Vive Pro Eye, a new enterprise-focused headset with integrated eye-tracking, the Vive Cosmos with inside-out tracking, and the Vive Reality System. Expect to see plenty more VR news coming from CES 2019 as the week continues, with VRFocus on the ground covering as much as possible.

Viveport Unwraps Some Christmas Treats for Subscribers

There are literally two weeks to go until Christmas Day – yup, just 14 short days left to go – so if you haven’t bought everything then it’s time to pick up the pace. As is common practice nowadays, the videogame industry will be holding plenty of sales, with VRFocus expecting Steam and Oculus Store to announce theirs soon. Beating the pair of them is Viveport, which has begun announcing a range of festive deals.

To begin with, starting this Thursday 13th, all Viveport members can get a 10 percent off coupon code for their entire purchase, while Subscribers will get 20 percent off. If you’ve never tried Viveport Subscription before then you can start a  free 14-trial to get 20 percent off.

That’s not all, Viveport will be offering up to 95 percent of videogames and apps through the store starting the same day.

There are other deals coming which Viveport hasn’t gone into detail about just yet. Customers will have the opportunity to get 40 percent off their entire purchase, while Viveport’s 3,6 and 12 month Subscription packages will also see reductions from 19th December. Lastly, the retailer will be giving away a free undisclosed videogame with any purchase of a subscription package. Those details are likely to arrive next week.

Oculus Rift & Touch

Viveport supports both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, with the latter being added only a few months back in September.

At present Viveport is still running its 100 percent revenue share initiative with developers until the end of the year, as well as submissions still being open for the Viveport Developer Awards, with winners to be revealed during the 2019 Game Developers Conference (GDC). Get $200 off the Full HTC Vive Pro Kit for Black Friday

Last week saw Viveport start rolling out the Black Friday deals and now to start this week off, HTC Vive has unveiled several savings due to arrive for HTC Vive Pro.

HTC Vive Pro

The major discount is for the full HTC Vive Pro kit, which includes the headset, two Steam VR Base Stations 2.0, two motion controllers, and a two-month subscription to Viveport. The offer, which runs from Friday, 23rd November to Monday, 26th November knocks $200 USD off the normal price, reducing it to $1199.00.

For those that don’t want or need the full base station or controllers, HTC Vive is offering $100 off the Vive Pro head-mounted display (HMD), bringing the price down to $699.

There’s been no word just yet on any standard HTC Vive deals – that’ll probably happen closer to Black Friday. Don’t forget that today is the last day to purchase Arizona Sunshine, The Wizards, SUPERHOT VR, Accounting+ and Sairento VR for £1 GBP/$1 USD each if you have a Viveport Subscription.

There will also be further software discounts and offers running across the weekend, with over 100 titles on sale up to 95 percent off for all Viveport users during the promotion window. Subscription bundles will also receive a discount this Black Friday with 25 percent savings on 6-month plans and 50% savings on 12-month plans.

Additionally, any purchase of a Viveport Subscription bundle will also come with a free Fallout 4 VR Steam code. Plus,  Arcade Saga is free for all Viveport users starting 4 PM PST on 22nd November until 23rd November at 11:59 PM PST. VRFocus will continue its coverage of Viveport and HTC Vive, reporting back with any further sales.

Viveport Offering Five Games for £1 Each to Subscription Members

From today things take a turn for the worst as retailers start to offer early Black Friday deals ahead of the supposed main discount day next week. Either online or instore there are going to be plenty of deals going on, all of which VRFocus will try to keep you updated on. For those virtual reality (VR) gamers who use Viveport and its subscription service, the platform has a limited time offer running where five big-name titles have been massively discounted.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re an existing subscriber or if you start a free trial today, from now until 19th November, subscribers will be able to purchase Arizona Sunshine, The Wizards, SUPERHOT VR, Accounting+ and Sairento VR for £1 GBP/$1 USD each.

If you buy all five then you’ll save yourself £120 on their normal total price. There is a small catch, however, and that is there’s only a limited number of every videogame available at this price, so its first come first served.

To add an additional enticement into the mix, if you do so happen to start a free trial or fully subscribe, all Viveport Subscription members will be given $10/£8 in Viveport Wallet credit on 20th November, sent via email.

The Wizards: Trials of Meliora

That’s all the deals Viveport has available for now, but that won’t be the end of them. Its official Black Friday sale starts on 20th November – yes that is a Tuesday – with plenty of discounts on videogames and apps expected. When those are revealed, VRFocus will let you know.
