It’s already available on the original PSVR, however a free PSVR 2 update is coming this holiday season. A playable PSVR 2 demo is coming October 17th.
Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs

Challenge yourself to bash through each three-dimensional puzzle to defeat Dr. Frankenswine, and create and share content with the online level builder. Owners of the original PSVR version can upgrade for $10. Coming to PSVR 2 October 10th, 2023. Wishlist here.
Ruinsmagus: Complete
Ruinsmagus: Complete was actually released on PSVR 2 by Japan-based studio CharacterBank a little over a week ago, bringing the JRPG’s mysterious ruins, ancient artifacts, and fierce battles to Sony’s latest VR headset for the first time. Previously launched on Quest and PC VR headsets last year, Ruinsmagus: Complete puts you in the common boots of new guild member, setting you out on a mission to strengthen the guild with your magic, resources, and wisdom across 25 story-driven quests. Buy it on PSVR 2 for $30.
Paper Beast Enhanced Edition
Paper Beast Enhanced Edition launched on PSVR 2 and PS5 on September 27th, bringing the extraordinary origami-inspired adventure to Sony’s latest VR headset for the first time. Launched on the original PSVR in 2020 by Pixel Reef, Paper Beast was widely praised for its innovative gameplay, unique aesthetics, and surreal universe. Owners of the game on PS4 can upgrade to the new version for $5. Buy it on PSVR 2 for $25.
Among Us VR (2022), the standalone VR version of the hit party game, just got a new map called Polus Point.
Just in time for mass heat waves comes Polus Point, a decidedly chilly (and sometimes hot) addition to Among Us VR.
The studios say the new map includes over 50% more tasks, including a contraption called ‘THE CLAW’, nine new rooms for hidden objects, new kill and ejection animations, and snowstorms. And lava?
Among Us VR is also getting exclusive hat releases, with five free hats launching with the Polus Point map alongside a new ‘Polus Point Picks’ hat pack DLC, which contains five paid hats.
Schell Games released a new Among Us VR update, adding custom lobby settings and a new hat pack.
Previously announced in December’s Among Us VR 2023 roadmap, custom lobby settings are now live as part of the game’s fourth patch. Outlined in a new blog post, Schell claims this allows for “over 9 billion customization configurations,” letting you adjust pace, balancing, and the general rules. Complementing this is a new indicator that highlights gameplay balance between Impostors and Crewmates.
These options include: enabling/disabling specific tasks, distance of Crew and Impostor vision, number of emergency meetings and tasks, customizable discussion time, anonymous voting, plus sabotage and kill cooldowns, visible hands, number of imposters, emergency meetings and long tasks; and altering the kill cooldown length.
There’s still plenty more to come for Among Us VR. After reaching one million sales back in January, Schell Games gave us a first look at the new Polus map, which is currently in development and a public vote for its name remains open. Otherwise, further post-launch updates include presently unknown collaborations, improved accessibility and more hats.
Patch four also adds the Accidental Favorites Hat Pack for $4.99, adding five new cosmetics from Innersloth’s original Among Us game: Note 2 Self, MoRawk, Third Eye, Magical ‘Corn and Peeled. A free Pizza Time hat is also available upon updating the main game.
Among Us VR is available now on theMeta Questplatform and PC VR via Steam and Rift for $9.99. Cross-play is supported across all VR platforms, while an upcomingPSVR 2release is also planned.
Sony has revealed the price and launch date for PSVR 2 in addition to its launch day lineup for PSVR 2. There’s a ton of stuff coming down the pipeline though as we approach the February 22nd launch of PSVR 2, so check out our mega roundup of everything confirmed both by Sony and indie developers looking to target PSVR 2.
There is a ton of overlap with the list of launch day titles announced by Sony. We overhauled this article to include those in addition to games that have been confirmed to arrive at some point on the headset.
We have what seems to be a fairly complete list of PSVR 2 games. Below, you’ll see our top picks along with their trailers and descriptions. The remaining list is available at the bottom of the article.
Top PSVR 2 Highlights
Gran Turismo 7 – [Launch Day]
Gran Turismo 7 will support PSVR 2 at the headset’s launch via a free upgrade for existing owners. The VR implementation looks like a big upgrade over what we saw in GT Sport. Not much else to say ‘sides vroom vroom.
Moss & Moss: Book II – [Launch Day]
Polyarc announced that both Moss and the sequel Moss: Book II are set to be launch titles on PSVR 2 when it releases in February next year, which follows the adventures of a pint-sized hero named Quill who journeys through a world fraught with enemies and plenty of puzzles to boot.
Both are said to include more visual detail such as lighting and texture improvements. Making use of PSVR 2’s hardware, players can expect eye-tracking to highlight key items, a two-controller setup, improved haptics, and adaptive triggers for added immersion when picking up items.
Horizon Call of the Mountain – [Launch Day]
Horizon Call of the Mountain isn’t a log flume ride or hollow VR “experience” like the trailer might suggest. Nay, developed by Sony’s first-party Guerrilla Games and Firesprite Studios, the first VR take on the Horizon universe is going to be an honest to goodness story campaign the devs say will take around seven hours to complete, along with some “additional content” included in the game.
Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – [Launch Day]
Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge is an action-adventure experience where you’ll take on the role of a droid repair technician operating near the Outer Rim. First introduced on Meta Quest in 2020, this will be the first time this run-and-gun, Star Wars-flavored adventure will be available outside of the Meta ecosystem.
Capcom is bringing Resident Evil Village to PSVR 2, and it says the game will provide “an even deeper immersive experience by taking full advantage of the vivid graphics possible with the headset’s 4K HDR display, PlayStation VR2’s eye tracking, PS5’s 3D Audio and more.” Lady Dimitrescu awaits in this free DLC update to the base game!
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 4 is already available on Quest 2, although this particular version is a classic zombie shooter of another stripe. The game coming to PSVR 2 is actually the remake, so we’re getting all new everything this time around and not just uprezzed textures. We’re hoping the VR support is as good as the Quest 2 version, and decidedly better than RE7 Biohazard, which wasn’t bad, but it is showing its age since it was released in 2017.
Demeo – [Launch Day]
Created by VR veteran Resolution Games, Demeo is a VR take on a tabletop RPG dungeon crawler. It has fared remarkably well on Quest 2 and PC VR headsets since release in 2021, which is in part thanks to its basement-themed, D&D-style action that lets you unite with friends for a tactical gaming night from afar.
Paddle through the ice caves in Antarctica, kayak with dolphins in Costa Rica, conquer a thunderstorm in Norway and discover the canyons of Australia. In Kayak VR: Mirage, made exclusively for VR, you can explore these real-world locations with photorealistic graphics.
No Man’s Sky – [Before End of March]
The redemption story continues, as Hello Games vows to bring its space exploration simulator to PSVR 2, including all of the successive patches and DLC drops that took it from procedurally generated empty shell to a universe truly brimming with possibilities.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Chapter 2 – [Before end of March]
This is a full-fat sequel to VR’s most popular games as of late, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners. Like the first in the series, you’ll scrounge around a post-apocalyptic New Orleans that’s not only brimming with the undead, but also rival gangs that you can choose to join or battle. Physics-based combat, low ammo supplies, and a very touchy stamina system means you’ll need to think long and hard before running into that crowd of walkers.
Firewall Ultra
It’s not clear how much “new” content we’re getting right out of the bat with First Contact’s next Firewall game, which like the original promises tactical squad-based shooting action across a host of maps, although Firewall Ultra is decidedly the future of the franchise. We can expect to see legacy maps, characters and weapons, but also updates for more of everything down the line.
Walkabout Mini Golf
Indie VR studio Mighty Coconut announced its smash success VR mini-golfing game Walkabout Mini Golf is making its way to PSVR 2. Arguably one of VR’s most favorite social gaming experiences, Walkabout Mini Golf is said to arrive on PSVR 2 “soon”, which is set to include cross-play with all supported versions of the game; this includes versions available through Steam, Meta Quest Store, Viveport, and Pico’s European-facing digital store.
The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR – [Before End of March]
Supermassive Games revealed The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR, or what it calls a “fast-paced roller coaster action-horror-shooter where every move you make, and everything you see, could mean the difference between life and death.” Set inside the sinister world of The Dark Pictures Anthology, Switchback VR makes good use of headset eye-tracking: some enemies only move when you blink (Visine not included).
Crossfire: Sierra Squad
Smilegate tossed out a trailer to a brand-new VR game called Crossfire: Sierra Squad, a first-person shooter in the Crossfire universe. The game is played either solo or in co-op mode with up to 4 players on a team as you battle against AI baddies. The studio says there are 39 types of weapons including pistols, rifles, throwable – and throw back-able – grenades and sniper rifles with revolutionary scope mechanics give you plenty of options to dispatch 17 types of enemies.
The Light Brigade – [Launch Day]
Funktronic Labs showed off a new single-player roguelike game called The Light Brigade which it says is “filled with immersive gunplay and moody mystery.” Uncover the mystery of the gloomy ‘Sunken World’ as you climb the ranks of the titular Light Brigade, unlock firearms and unique spells. The Light Brigade will be available for pre-order starting November 15th.
C-Smash VRS
Sega’s futuristic block-breaker, which you might remember from its launch on Dreamcast in 2001 or in arcades throughout Europe and Japan, is being reimagined for PSVR 2 with C-Smash VRS. It’s set to bring an immersive twist to Cosmic Smash’s low gravity squash-meets-blockbreaker gameplay, including single player, co-op, and 1v1 multiplayer modes—that’s what the ‘VRS’ stands for, both virtual reality and versus. Demo out March 23rd. Launch later this year.
Behemoth
Sink into an all new world of danger, survival, and mystery from Skydance Interactive, the creators behind The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. In Behemoth, take on the role of a diseased wanderer lost in the frigid Forsaken Lands. Overcome dangerous environments, deadly warriors, and towering Behemoths using immersive, weighty VR combat and life-like physics. Travel through strange, otherworldly environments and overcome all, no matter how large, that stands in your way. Late 2023.
Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue [Launch Day]
tinyBuild Games and Steel Wool Studios (Five Nights at Freddy’s) announced a VR take on viral indie hit Hello Neighbor, which is coming to both PSVR and PSVR 2 with cross-buy. “Mr. Peterson’s creepy house takes on a new level of immersion in VR, and there is nothing quite as scary as actually seeing that familiar shadow tower over you just before everything goes black,” tinyBuild says.
Pistol Whip VR – [Launch Day]
Cloudhead Games is bringing a free PSVR 2 upgrade to the PSVR version of its award-winning physical action-rhythm game where thrilling gunplay and dynamic tracks collide, creating a dreamscape world for players to blast, duck, and dodge their way through to become the ultimate action hero.
Cities VR – Enhanced Edition – [Launch Day]
With its intial launch on Quest earlier this year, Fast Travel Games managed to bring Cities: Skylines to VR, albeit in a slightly smaller package to run on VR hardware. Smaller, as in the size of your city: you’re actually a Godzilla-sized goliath towering over your little town as you manage all of its buildings and keep up with city planning.
Cosmonious High – [Launch Day]
Owlchemy Labs is known for highly interactive, super approachable VR games, such as award-winning titles Job Simulator and its sequel Vacation Simulator. This one went live a few months ago on Quest and PC VR headsets, and we can’t wait to see PSVR 2’s eye-tracking bring our avatars to life.
Zenith: The Last City – [Launch Day]
From Ramen VR comes the PSVR 2 version of its Kickstarter success story, the MMORPG know as Zenith: The Last City. Promised to be a day-one launch title, there are hundreds of hours of content to chew through in this well-realized VR native.
After The Fall – [Launch Day]
Launched on PC VR, Quest and the original PSVR, Vertigo Games is bringing an enhanced version of the co-op zombie shooter to PSVR 2. If you haven’t heard of it before, it’s essentially Left4Dead, but in VR, letting you sweep through levels with friends and strangers as you mow down massive hordes of zombioid baddies. Upgrade your stuff, come back for more.
Jurassic World Aftermath Collection – [Launch Day]
Coatsink originally brought this two-part psychological dino-thriller to Quest, making for a heart-pounding game of cat-and-mouse with a gaggle of Raptor baddies. Use your eyes and ears to alert you to impending doom, and hide from certain death if you can, Make sure to check out our spoiler-free review of both part 1 and 2 on Quest to see what’s in store.
Altair Breaker – [Launch Day]
Initially released on Steam and PSVR, Altair Breker is a map-based sword fighting game from the makers of Swords of Gargantua, Thirdverse. You can team up with three other friends or go it alone as you for an adventure that the studio says its for “players who want to experience stylish sword-fighting action and feel like the hero in an anime world.”
The Last Clockwinder – [Launch Day]

Your mission is to repair the Clocktower: an ancient haven for the galaxy’s plants and seeds that’s fallen into disrepair. It won our PC VR Game of the Year 2022, so it definitively will find a good home on the very capable PSVR 2.
Fantasvision 202X – [Launch Day]
Originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2000, Fantavision is a puzzle game based on the theme of fireworks. The game returns in an all-new title for PS VR2 powered by the Unreal Engine. If you're curious about what may be changed in VR and what details there are about it, we've sussed out all the information you need to know about Among Us VR.
Today’s trailer, which first debuted at the Upload VR Showcase, gives us our first look at how some of the flatscreen original’s staple systems are translating to VR. Check it out below.
Among Us VR Gameplay Trailer Revealed
In the original Among Us, a group of players are tasked with making repairs to a ship, but one is secretly cast as an Imposter. The Imposter must murder all the other members of the crew without being discovered. The VR version will keep that core concept, changing it up for VR.
For starters, we see the discussion section of a match play out with voice acting, but we also get a first look at players completing certain tasks around the ship. These included scanning into areas, aligning machine parts and what looks like a game of alien whack-a-mole.
Plus there’s another look at a gruesome murder towards the end. Spoilers: it doesn’t end well for the trailer’s hero.
Elsewhere, developer Schell Games has confirmed that the game will launch with the Skeld II Map and a number of hats for avatar customization. There’s also proximity and quick chat voice options.
We still don’t have a release date for the game beyond the Holiday 2022 launch window for Quest 2 and PC VR. A PSVR 2 release has also been confirmed for when the headset launches — whenever that may be — but it’s not clear if the game is still aiming to launch on the original PSVR at this point in time.
Stay tuned to the Upload VR Showcase for yet more VR reveals and headlines today. What did you make of the Among US VR gameplay trailer? Let us know in the comments below!
Schell Games confirmed a PSVR 2 release for Among Us VR this week, stating that the game will be available “when the headset releases.”
A new gameplay trailer debuted this week for Among Us VR, which is set to release during the 2022 holiday season for Quest and SteamVR. It showed some of the first in-depth gameplay for the title, revealing how the 2D classic will translate into headsets.
A new @AmongUsVR teaser trailer was shown during the Meta Gaming Showcase.
The game will be available on Meta Quest and SteamVR at launch this 2022 holiday season. It will be available on PlayStation®VR2 when the headset is released. Wishlist the game now! pic.twitter.com/kG902Z9T4C
However, Schell Games put out a tweet after the show confirming that a PSVR 2 version will also be available, but only once the headset itself actually launches.
Among Us had also already been confirmed for the original PSVR headset though this tweet doesn’t mention that version. We reached out to Schell Games to confirm this version is still in the works and will update this article if and when we hear back.
The gameplay trailer for Among Us VR was just one of the many that debuted yesterday at the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase. We also saw the announcement of Ghostbusters VR, Bonelab, Red Matter 2 and Espire 2. You can see everything else that was announced here.
Returning for a second year, the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase was an event jam-packed with exciting videogame announcements for the headset. With brand new surprises, sequels and updates, the event proved that Quest 2 has a cracking lineup of titles in the works.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution
The next instalment in the VR franchise, Skydance Interactive’s The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution continues the narrative from the first game, placing you in a post-apocalyptic New Orleans trying to survive the zombie outbreak. This time around there will be more zombies, a new villain to face and even fewer resources. The game is due out later this year.
Among Us VR
The multiplayer game about teamwork and the imposters trying to kill you all will be coming to Meta Quest 1 & 2 and PC VR headsets this holiday season. Rebuilt for VR by Schell Games, Among Us VR will stay true to the original’s design whilst ensuring plenty of interactive elements purely suited to VR. It will be a “stand-alone experience” due to the overhaul.
Red Matter 2
The atmospheric sci-fi puzzler from 2018 will be getting a sequel this summer Vertical Robot has revealed. Red Matter 2 is going to be bigger and feature more content than its predecessor, adding new mechanics like a jet pack to fly around with whilst injecting some action by giving you enemies to shoot at.
Beat Saber x Electronic Mixtape
The ever-popular Beat Saber will be getting a new song selection adding 10 iconic electronic hits to its track roster as well as a new in-game environment. No release date at the moment but here’s the track list:

Madeon, “Icarus”
deadmau5, “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff” (feat. Rob Swire)
Marshmello, “Alone”
Zedd, “Stay the Night” (feat. Hayley Williams)

Taking control of Quill once again in a fight against the Arcane, Moss: Book 2features even bigger threats than before, new items to fight and solve puzzles with and new characters to aid your journey.
Resident Evil 4 – The Mercenaries
The only game announcement from the show that’s available right now as a free update, the VR edition of Resident Evil 4 finally gets fan favourite mode The Mercenaries. Giving you the chance to play as several of the characters from the main campaign, the mode is all about racking up as many points as possible before the timer runs out. This VR version also comes with 20 exclusive Challenges that’ll unlock bonuses including Big Head mode and a Golden Gun skin.
Cities: VR
If you’ve been after a city building experience in VR then look no further, Fast Travel Games has remade Paradox Interactive’s Cities: Skylines for the headset. A city management simulator giving you full control over where to place structures, and how to earn and spend money whilst keeping residents have, Cities: VR is due out next week on 28th April.
Bonelab
Stress Level Zero has finally revealed that its fourth VR project is Bonelab, a sequel to Boneworks. Building off of Boneworks‘ physical interaction engine, Marrow, Bonelab is an action-adventure title set within a mysterious underground lab. With physics-driven interactions forming a core part of the gameplay experience Bonelabs will also support player built mods to further expand the content. The game is expected to arrive for Meta Quest 2 and PC VR headsets in 2022.
NFL Pro Era
An officially licensed NFL videogame for VR, NFL Pro Era is all about immersing you in American football as a quarterback. Featuring all 32 NFL teams, the simulator will put you in command of your favourite team, choosing plays and listening to the chatter inside the huddle. NFL Pro Era will be coming to Quest and PlayStation VR in Fall 2022.
Espire 2
Digital Lode’s stealth combat title returns this November, giving you new ways to sneakily kill enemies without them even knowing you were there, or not, depends how you like to play. Espire 2 will feature two new mechanical units to control, one heavier and more robust whilst the other is smaller and nimble, great for staying undetected. In addition to the main campaign, Espire 2 will also include a co-op campaign with a story set between Espire 1 & 2.
RuinsMagus
Unveiled last year, the showcase provided a brand new trailer giving a better look at the upcoming Japanese role-playing game (JRPG). Developed by CharacterBank, RuinsMagus has players investigate the abandoned ruins below the prosperous town of Grand Amnis across 26 story-driven quests, facing powerful and fearless Guardians on route. RuinsMagus is expected to launch later this year.
Crystal Atrium Environment
Not a game but a freebie for Meta Quest nonetheless, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg gave his quick address inside the new Crystal Atrium environment. You’ll find it under the Personalization tab of the settings menu, then change the virtual environment.
Ghostbusters VR (Working title)
Last but not least was the sneaky peek from Zuckerberg of a new game being worked on by nDreams (Fracked, Phantom: Covert Ops) and Sony Pictures Virtual Reality (SPVR), Ghostbusters VR. Set in San Francisco, Ghostbusters VR will support up to 4-player co-op as you and your friends try to rid the city of ghosts in this original adventure. No timeline for release has been given just yet.
Among Us was a huge hit for developer Innersloth when the videogame launched in 2018, eventually arriving on most platforms. In December it was revealed that virtual reality (VR) headsets wouldn’t miss out either, with an immersive version being built by I Expect You to Die studio Schell Games. As part of the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase today, Among Us VR has been given a “Holiday 2022” launch window.
Innersloth, Schell Games, and Robot Teddy are collaborating on the project which won’t simply be a port of the original version. Among Us VR is being rebuilt from the ground up for VR and described as a “stand-alone experience” so it won’t be compatible with any other version of the videogame.
However, thanks to Schell Games’ VR experience, it’ll still stay true to the original’s aesthetic and gameplay style whilst ensuring plenty of immersive action. So there will be plenty of teamwork and betrayal for the 4 – 10 players Among Us VR will support, complete with voice and text chat capabilities.
“We are so excited that our community will be able to experience Among Us VR later this year,” said Victoria Tran, Community Director for Innersloth in a statement. “Crewmates across the world will feel right at home in the VR version of the Skeld and are sure to enjoy the tension and thrills an immersive experience offers. Our team has had fun testing Among Us VR throughout the development process, and we can’t wait for the community to put on their headsets and play.”
“Our team works closely with Innersloth and Robot Teddy to stay true to the characteristics the community loves about Among Us,” said CEO Jesse Schell. “Adapting this title to the virtual reality space presents interesting challenges, like not making the game too scary, and wonderful opportunities, like modifying voice chat capabilities, to create an engaging experience that holds true to the original vision of the game.”
That Holiday 2022 launch window is for Meta Quest 1 & 2 and PC VR headsets. A PlayStation VR2 version is also in the works, slated to land at the same time as the headset. For continued updates from the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase, keep reading gmw3.
Party game sensation Among Us is getting a full-blown VR version, and now the studios behind the game released a new gameplay video that shows off some of its day-one launch features.
Update (June 9th, 2022): Innersloth, Schell Games, and Robot Teddy released a new gameplay trailer (above and below this update) which shows off a bit more of the game’s madcap party chaos, including a few of the jobs you’ll need to do to keep yourself above suspicion. The studios also released a number of features coming to the game at launch:
The Skeld II Map
A selection of hats to customize Crewmates
Core Among Us gameplay systems translated to VR, such as tasks, sabotages, emergency meetings, and venting
Proximity voice chat and Quickchat

You can also now wishlist Among Us VR on Quest 2 and SteamVR headsets, and join the game’s Discord server (invite link). There’s still no word on when it’s coming to PSVR 2, but then again, we still have no idea when the headset will release.
Original Article (April 20th, 2022): Today during the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase veteran VR developer Schell Games revealed the first look at Among Us VR gameplay.
And although it’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect if you played the original top-down version of the game, I’ve gotta say—the trailer really sells how much more intense the game could be in immersive VR.
If you’ve never played the original, Among Us is a party game where a group of 4–10 players are stuck on a spaceship while trying to figure out who among them is the ‘imposter’. The imposter’s goal is to kill all the other players without getting found out. The other players take votes on who is the imposter and have to work together to smoke them out before it’s too late.
The game’s basic 2D graphics are just a backdrop to the star of the show which is the fun social dynamics, teamwork, and betrayal that emerge from the simple premise. But in VR, the game is likely to feel much more personal… and maybe even a bit scary as you hear the pitter-patter of footsteps behind you and wonder whether you’re about to see a friendly face or meet your doom.
Though the trailer above makes it clear that Among Us VR will stick closely to the layout and essence of the original map, we still haven’t gotten a good look at how the ‘tasks’ will play in VR. It’s not clear yet if the developer will simply adopt the original tasks, create new ones specific to VR, or something in between. We also don’t know if all of the original game’s maps will make it to the VR version of just a subset of them. We’ve reached out to the studio for more info.
We’ll have to wait a little while yet if we want to find out first hand—Schell Games says Among Us VR is set for a holiday 2022 release date on Quest to and Oculus PC. The game is also set to launch on PSVR 2 whenever the headset ends up launching.
