If you love fighting hordes of zombies in virtual reality (VR) then Skydance Interactive’s The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is one of the best videogames to do that in. After the studio announced the ‘The Meatgrinder Update‘ last month it has now confirmed a release date for July, it’s today!

The content update will add a new gameplay mode to the experience, ‘The Trial’. For those that have completed the main campaign, The Trial adds a horde mode so you can fight wave after wave of undead monsters.
To face all those walkers you’ll need to be armed to the teeth but you’ll need to work for it. The mode starts you off with just a screwdriver and enough ‘bitecoins’ to buy another weapon of your choice – handy then that all the weapons from the main game will be unlocked for you. As the waves progress the walkers will become faster and increase in number. To earn maximum coins for new weapons you’ll need to perform stylish kills such as headshot, decapitations, long-range kills and more.
Additionally, the update will also include a new difficulty mode ‘Story’ for the single-player campaign, great for first-time players, as well as a new katana weapon called Absolution.

Titles like Arizona Sunshine easily fill that need for straight-up arcade action, for when you want a living dead apocalypse with a bit more depth then The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is your new go-to videogame.”
