Pokémon GO’s Psychic Spectacular Event Increases The Appearance Rate Of Psychic-type Pokémon

It seems there is no slowing down the popular augmented reality (AR) mobile videogame Pokémon GO as it is time once again for another event for players to enjoy. This time around, it is Psychic-type Pokémon who are taking center stage as they start to appear in the wild more frequently while the powerful Mewtwo can also be found in Raids during the course of the event. If that wasn’t enough, there is even a free t-shirt also currently being available as well.

The Pokémon GO Psychic Spectacular event is running from now until October 14th at 1:00pm PDT (GMT -7) and will give trains a number of extra chances to catch some rather interesting Pokémon. This includes the likes of Abra, Ralts, and Baltoy to name a few, who will be found more often when trainers are exploring the world. On top of that, the chance of finding a Shiny Drowzee has also been increased meaning if trainers are lucky they will find a number of those as well.

During the event period trainers will also find additional Field Research focusing on Psychic-type Pokémon which will offer much more for players to do. The legendary Pokémon Mewtwo will also be making an appearance in Raids during the event period. There is also a chance that players will encounter the mythical Pokémon Deoxys as well during EX Raids as was revealed back a few weeks ago.

Elsewhere, trainers will be able to pick up a new t-shirt for their avatars to wear for free from the Style Shop that features a design based on the popular Pokémon Pikachu. It also seems that trainers will be able to catch a Pikachu wearing a special hat – most likely based on the design of the t-shirt – for an unannounced period of time. So trainers should be quick to find this special Pokémon and catch it as soon as possible.

All of this follows the recent addition of the new mysterious Pokémon Meltan that is a tie-in to the upcoming Pokémon Let’s Go videogames releasing later this year for the Nintendo Switch. The new Pokémon was originally turning into Dittos but it now seems as though trains are actually able to capture this Pokémon and add it to their collection.
