Shed that Holiday Weight with New BOXVR Workouts

The holiday season is famed for overindulgence; mass food consumption and little in the way of exercise. However, FitXR has the antidote to the January regret, offering new workouts in BOXVR designed specifically to fight those seasonal excesses.

BOXVR screenshotBOXVR is a rhythm based fitness videogame which brings high intensity boxing workouts into virtual reality (VR). While a number of different boxing videogames are available in VR, BOXVR features regularly updated workouts that are designed by real life boxing instructors. Ianthe, responsible for the two new workouts added to BOXVR, is part of a team of five instructors who were handpicked from the London fitness scene.

Sameer Baroova, co-founder of FitXR commented; “Our aim at FitXR is to use VR to create an engaging, immersive and fun fitness experience for our users – but also one that is genuinely effective and calorie busting.” He continues; “This is why we work with a team of fitness instructors to create regular, new workouts – each one with a flavour that reflects that particular instructor”

BOXVR launched as a Steam Early Access title in June 2017, and has since seen regular updates responding to community feedback. FitXR has also recently announced support for Windows Mixed Reality head-mounted displays (HMDs) and will soon be supporting Chinese, Korean, Dutch, German, Japanese, Spanish, French, Russian in addition to the English language. This will of course be in addition to the additional workouts, performance metrics and additional personalised guidance proposed as the Steam Early Access agenda.
