Many, including ourselves at VRFocus, have compared Coatsink Software’s (Esper, Esper 2) upcoming title Augmented Empire with the likes of Firaxis Games’ X-Com series. Being a top-down, turn-based strategy game set in a futuristic world. But whilst the residents of Augmented Empire‘s island of New Savannah have their problems they aren’t dealing with a takeover by mind-controlling alien Elders. They’re instead dealing with issues more ingrained in a society split by a rigid class system.
VRFocus video correspondent Nina Salomons sat down with Coatsink Software’s Chief Operating Officer Eddie Beardsmore who explains just what the ‘story-driven tactical RPG’ entails and how the diorama-like system works.
If you’d like to learn more about Augmented Empire you can read our preview here.
Nina will be back throughout the week on VRFocus, continuing tomorrow with her weekly review and, of course, VRTV on Thursday. Make sure you tune in for both and also be sure to follow VRFocus on YouTube for regular VR video content.
