We originally thought that Final Fantasy XV’s PlayStation VR (PSVR) spin-off would be coming in September, but it looks like it’s been delayed a little.
Publisher Square Enix today announced that Monster Of The Deep: Final Fantasy XV, as the game is called, will be launching on November 21st. We’re not too surprised at the delay given that we haven’t seen all that much of the game since it was announced at E3 back in June.
Monster of the Deep is a fishing game in which you join the main cast of last year’s Japanese role-playing hit. You’ll use either PlayStation Move controllers or the DualShock 4 to catch fish from a range of different locations seen in the original game. More than just a fishing simulator, though, you’ll also take part in boss battles and hang out with the cast.
The game is being released in place of an original Final Fantasy XV VR spin-off revealed at last year’s E3 in which players fought off enemies with pistols. This looks like it’s a bit more considered for a VR game, so we’re hoping for an entertaining experience.
