Gungrave VR Gets New E3 2018 Trailer

Some might recall a videogame by the name of Gungrave, which was a third-person shooter originally released on the PlayStation 2 back in 2002, where it was praised for having a unique art style and gameplay feel. Jump forward to Auguest, 2017 and Korean publisher Blueside and developer IGGYMOB announced a virtual reality (VR) verison, Gungrave VR would be heading to PlayStation VR. Now, following a release in Japan in December, 2017 Gungrave VR is making its way to the West thanks to XSEED and Marvelous Entertainment. Now, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018 a new trailer and debut.

In Gungrave VR, players will take control of Grave, who is resurrected after the fierce battle to stamp out the nefarious drug SEED. With Mika Asagi watching over him, Grave sets out to hunt down all the renaming traces of SEED and the criminal organizations who are still distributing it. Jump forward 14 years and the manufacture of SEED has been tracked to South City. Dealing with an infection of monsters transformed by the drug, Grave and Mika set out to destroy the drug once and for all using his signature dual guns dubbed Cerberus.

Within the title players will be able to relive the classic title after a 14 year break. Inside the chaotic world of South City, players will need to master the different play styles to down enemies in a number of ways, making use of every attack and skills they have available to them. Featuring free-moving third-person shooter levels featuring hordes of enemies and tough-as-nails bosses, there are also stationary first-person levels that bring back that feeling of an arcade shooter.

The new trailer showcases a number of scenes from Gungrave VR which should give players an idea of what to expect when the title releases. This includes both the arcade like stationary sections and a number of high action, third-person scenes.

On top of offering players a number of levels to complete full of action, there are also three difficulty levels for those wanting a hard challenge along with the title being fully-voiced in English and Japanese.
