Musician-turned-videogame developer, VIRGO, in collaboration with The Revera Corporation has today released Water Planet, a virtual reality (VR) experience featuring music from the E.P. of the same name.
Water Planet is a single-player first-person adventure set on a fantastical blue planet with all sorts of secrets hidden above and below the waves. Players are tasked with finding resources for their spaceship, enabling them to carry on an interstellar journey. Whilst on this mysterious planet they’ll find the remnants of a lost civilisation, with hidden temples and expansive levels to explore.
On this journey players will be accompanied by the ship’s onboard A.I. Gemini, who’ll help them look for crystal shards. Along the way they also encounter a lone cybernetic jellyfish named Aqua.
VIRGO’s audio-inspired VR experience, Water Planet is now available to download on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift via Steam priced at $19.99 USD/£14.99 GBP. With the purchase players will also receive a free copy of VIRGO’s Water Planet E.P., which inspired the title’s development.
