No Heroes Allowed! VR Dated for October in Japan

During the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 in June, virtual reality (VR) title No Heroes Allowed! VR was finally confirmed for a western release, becoming one of the few Japanese videogames to see an international launch. Later that same month its was revealed that this would be happening later this year with the Japanese version scheduled for the Fall. Now Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia (SIEJA) has announced No Heroes Allowed! VR will be released on 14th October in Japan.

No Heroes Allowed! VR is a real-time strategy (RTS) videogame for PlayStation VR where players become the God of Destruction and, together with the Badmen and Badmella, work towards world domination. Armed with a series of hives, the player must strategically place their units to encourage monster growth by feeding them. Superior monsters become available once enough food – i.e. lesser monsters – are gained under your control on the battlefield.

During E3 VRFocus previewed No Heroes Allowed! VR saying that it: ‘provides a compelling RTS experience unique to VR.’

For the Japanese release there will be several pre-order bonuses exclusive to specific retailers and the PlayStation.Store. For the physical release there’s the “Peace Will Not Visit the World! Hell’s Father and Daughter Avatar” Set. On PlayStation.Store it’s the “Yesterday’s Companion is Today’s Bait! Monster Avatar” Set. While Amazon Japan has the “Hold Our Ground! Hero Avatar” Set.

Whether the international release of No Heroes Allowed! VR will see similar bonus offers is unclear, but with the Japanese launch confirmed expect the western release to not be too far behind.

As further details on No Heroes Allowed! VR are released VRFocus will let you know.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 certainly hasn’t been without some fantastic and mysterious title announcements for all the VR platforms – but few are quite as interesting as No Heroes Allowed! VR, a quirky Japanese strategy coming to PlayStation VR. We’ve got new screenshots, showing more of this interactive virtual reality (VR) strategy.

To give it its full name, V! No Heroes Allowed R! (What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord?) is a Japanese role playing strategy, where using the PlayStation VR headset you’ll take an overhead view of the game and interact with the playing field.

The videogame is now finally confirmed for a Western release – something that was doubted, due to the videogame’s distinctly Japanese style.

Developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE) Japan Studio in collaboration with Acquire, players will go about seeking world domination as a God of Destruction. Ominous!

In the screenshots below you can see an overhead strategic map which players can interact with, and more characters and environments. It actually looks like a good way for players to interact with this genre in VR.

We’ll have more information on No Heroes Allowed! VR as soon as it’s available.
