VR Days Europe to Feature Training Solution Demo’s by Teslasuit

Later this week VR Days Europe will be holding it annual virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) event in Amsterdam. The three-day conference is due to feature talks from some of the leading innovators in the industry, as well as exhibits and demonstrations of the latest tech. Teslasuit has confirmed it’ll be in attendance, showcasing it’s full-body haptic suit across a range of business verticals.

VR Days Europe 2018

Teslasuit first came to public attention earlier this year, debuting its device during CES 2018, in Las Vegas. Designed as a cybernetic second skin, it can provide haptic feedback, motion capture, heat control and biometric systems for VR and AR experiences.

Aimed more towards the enterprise sector for training purposes, the Teslasuit enables the simulation of realistic industry cases, thus making corporate training more immersive and highly effective. The haptics ensure trainees receive direct, and unhindered feedback for better memory retention, whilst the biometrics allow monitoring of the emotional state of the user, providing stress level management, and adaptive training content.

Teslasuit will be showcased at booth A-50 at the exhibition venue of De Kromhouthal from 25-26 October. Attendees will be able to test the smart suit and come to chat with the developers about the future of AR/VR vision and haptics for enterprise training.

Additionally, Dimitri Mikhalchuk, Senior Vice-President of Business Development, for Teslasuit will discuss gamification enterprise at xR Enterprise Summit on 25 October. Based on gamification principle, VR experience with Teslasuit turns monotonous training and education into realistic, engaging activity that motivates trainees and increases the performance of novices and experts alike. Mikhalchuk will also take part in a discussion panel on the topic: “The state of the art and future trends of LBVR Hardware” in the framework of Media, Arts, Entertainment Summit.

Since its initial debut Teslasuit has gone on to collaborate with Sarah Edwards, Creative Director of Global Unscripted Formats and head of Sony Pictures Televisions (SPT) brand new Future Formats team on a new VR project. Virtual Worlds Become Real With Teslasuit at CES 2018

A common depiction of virtual reality (VR) in cyberpunk and near-future science fiction involves the user wearing a full-body rig to allow them to be truly ‘present’ in the virtual environment. The Teslasuit Project brings this idea out of the realm of science fiction and into the real world, as will be demonstrated at CES 2018.

The creators of the Teslasuit will be exhibiting the full-body smart suit to demonstrate a number of features that are designed to help aid immersion and give VR users more control and investment in the environment. The suit offers a full-body haptic feedback system which can simulate a sense of touch, a climate control system provides sensations of hot or cold, so users wandering the cold mountains of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim VR can feel the icy chill, while casting (or receiving) fire spells will cause blasts of heat.

The Teslasuit is completely wireless, and the team behind the project will be demonstrating how the suit can enhance the VR experience at its booth during CES 2018. Motion capture technology is used to provide a two-way communication between the real world and VR environment, allowing for gesture control and position tracking, while haptic stimulation provides the sense of touch and weight, using TENS technology of the sort of seen in electronic pain-relieving devices.

“We wanted the Teslasuit to erase the difference between the virtual and the real worlds. The gaming market, entertainment and enterprise in VR and AR are currently the natural applications for this technology. Also, as this is smart clothing, it will work well for day to day life and well-being, for example in sports training and fitness.” said Dimitri Mikhalchuk, CEO of Teslasuit Project. “But, we see its potential future use in a variety of different sectors including manufacturing, automotive, healthcare and medical fields in particular for use in rehabilitation, biometric data set building, collection and data management.” added Mikhalchuk.
