VRCade Announce New 8-Player Arena Title Terminal 17

Location-based virtual reality (VR) firm VRStudios have announced a new attraction for its Vrcade franchise, an 8-player arena-scale VR experience titled Terminal 17, which has been specifically designed for VRcade using Nvidia VRWorks.

VRCade Terminal 17 key artIn Terminal 17, players will form an 8-person squad of an elite extermination team who has been tasked with eliminating alien insects on a remote facility on a distant planet known as Terminal 17. The title uses the latest graphical technology by Nvidia along with new features introduced in Unity 2017.1 to allow for higher resolution and better performance.

Players who take part in Terminal 17 will be able to physically walk around the VRcade Arena, or use a variety of transport methods. In-game voice chat is available to allow players to coordinate attacks or work together to solve puzzles.

“VRcade Arena is a prime example of technology and fun converging to deliver a one of a kind VR experience,” said Jason Paul, general manager of gaming software and virtual reality at NVIDIA. “NVIDIA’s VRWorks plug-in for Unity proved to be a quick and simple way for VRStudios to achieve their performance goals for the experience.”
