Guerrilla, Fierce Kaiju, VR First, HTC, Microsoft and More Heading to VR Connects London Next Week

Last October Steel Media, the organiser behind the annual Pocket Gamer Connects (PGC) conference series in London, UK, announced a sister event to be held at the same time dedicated to virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technology, VR Connects London. The event takes place next week with 60 speakers now confirmed from some of the biggest companies in the business.

The inaugural VR Connects London will be bringing together over 500 delegates from across the immersive industries, focused on hardware manufacturers, game-developers, entertainment and education software creators, investors and media. Over two 2 days the event will feature VR and AR focused tracks spread over 4 key areas (global trends, technical and design issues, future technologies and monetisation).

VR Connects London Announced for 2017

Every year Pocket Gamer holds its PG Connects conference series in locations such as London, UK and Helsinki, Finland. This year with the rise of virtual reality (VR) the event organisers – Steel Media –  created the Global VR Challenge to identify and promote the best upcoming VR talent from around the world. Now Steel Media has announced a new dedicated event for VR, augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) called VR Connects London.

VR Connects London will be taking place in January 2017, aiming to bring together over 500 professionals from across the immersive industry, whether they are videogame developers, hardware manufactures, software creators, investors or media.

The two day event will combine an exhibition hall to see the latest demos alongside VR, AR and MR focused conference sessions, covering everything from future market trends to VR design and how to make money in the growing sector.

There will be 4 core tracks for the sessions; global trends, technical and design issues, future technologies, and monetisation. A Pitch & Match, which is a free business matching meeting system for all attendees. A SpeedMatch, where publishers and developers have two hours to meet and greet in one room. The VR Indie Pitch, the VR-centric version of the Big Indie Pitch competition. Plus attendees will also get full access to Pocket Gamer Connects London 2017.
