There’s been a strong drive to show how virtual reality (VR) isn’t an isolating experience when used correctly. Online communities have grown around videogames like EVE: Valkyrie while social apps such as vTime or Facebook Spaces exist bring people together to chat and share. SDC Ventures want’s to take that social interaction one step further by introducing a dating element, so later this year it’ll be launching MySugardaddy VR for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
SDC Ventures aims to create a community where users can virtually date their chat partner. They can build their own customised virtual avatar then interact with their dating partner almost like they would do in real life.
Philip Cappelletti, Managing Director of SDC Ventures GmbH, said in a statement: “The VR technology has already demonstrated its great potential in many areas of our daily lives. Virtual Reality will capture the love.”
While the VR app may entice new users it looks to be more of an extension of the My Sugar Daddy dating site that’s available in Europe and the US, catering for ‘for financially independent men and beautiful and attractive women,’ states the sites description.
MySugardaddy VR is due to launch for both headsets by the end of 2017. For the latest VR news, keep reading VRFocus.
