Sony’s PSVR has a lot of games available for it at this stage of its life cycle. With a year and a half of life under its belt, we’ve seen the full gamut of AAA VR exclusives, ports of non-VR games, and a flood of exciting indie projects that were only possible because of the power of VR technology. The issue though is that the more content there is out there, the more money it takes to keep up with new releases.
Luckily, PlayStation’s new “The Great Indoors” sale kicks off today and runs until 8AM PT on March 27, 2018 — that’s exactly two weeks. The sale features up to 50% (or 60% if you’re a PS+ subscriber) discounts on games and movies across all of PSN. We went through the full list for you and compiled this rundown of all the PSVR game deals. There are 19 in total!
The biggest VR game of the week for PSVR fans is a bit of a dud, but at least there are two other promising titles to look at instead if they tickle your fancy.
If you missed last week’s releases they’re here. UploadVR also launched the ‘UploadVR PSVR Community’ on PlayStation 4! Join up, find other gamers to play with, and engage in discussions with them. Bravo Team, from Supermassive Games
Price: $39.99
Despite the hopes and dreams of PSVR owners around the world, Bravo Team was not the ultimate military shooter many fans were hoping for. It’s actually just a cover-based wave shooter without any real locomotion methods at all. Co-op is okay, but not worth the price tag.
VRFC Virtual Reality Football Club, from Cherry Pop Games
Price: $19.99 (Currently Discounted)
VRFC came a bit out of nowhere this week offering up a realistic-leaning soccer (or football for some of you) experience on PSVR. The movement controls take some getting used to but this may be the first fully-realized real life sport we’ve see in VR.
Rangi, from Digigo
Price: $9.99
If atmospheric, exploration-focused puzzles are you jam, then Rangi could be for you. You get to fly too, so there’s that. It’s a very pretty game.
It’s a great week to be a PSVR owner! Two wonderful games hit Sony’s headset this week and you should definitely be interested in picking up both of them.

Moss, from Polyarc
Price: $29.99
Let’s be honest, this is probably the game you’re here for. Moss is an enchanting VR adventure played from a third-person view. You guide Quill, a young mouse, on a huge adventure, solving puzzles and besting baddies with your sword. Moss is, quite simply, a delight to play and a joy to experience inside VR. Get it.
Blasters of the Universe, from Secret Location
Price: $14.99
Suit up and shoot up in this VR-infused tribute to classic bullet hell games. Take on four levels in which you must shoot down enemies and make sure to dodge incoming waves of bullets. Challenge friends on a leaderboard and survive as long as possible in an Endless mode. This is a polished, highly enjoyable wave shooter.
One big release saves the day this week; there’s only two releases all-told but Apex Construct is the one many of us have been waiting for.

Apex Construct, from Fast Travel Games
Price: $29.99
This is this week’s biggest release by far. Apex Construct is a full VR adventure in which players take a bow in hand and explore an expansive world in which humanity has vanished and only a war between two AI constructs remains. With around five hours of gameplay and a full story, Apex Construct is well worth checking out, though it’s not without its issues.
Run Dorothy Run, from Virtro Entertainment
Price: $29.99
An endless runner with a familiar theme. Journey through Oz like never before, traveling to the Emerald City, Wicked Witch’s castle, and beyond as you dodge obstacles and maybe (just maybe) dance to the electro-swing soundtrack. Maybe not the most amazing use of VR but a strange enough idea to raise an eyebrow.
We’re back down to just a couple new release on PSVR this week but, fortunately, they’re not terrible, with a cheerful puzzle game making its way from mobile and PC VR over to Sony’s headset and a rhythm-based drumming game.
UploadVR also launched the ‘UploadVR PSVR Community’ on PlayStation 4! Join up, find other gamers to play with, and engage in discussions with them. Also, don’t forget to check out our list of the 9 Best PlayStation VR Games if you need any extra inspiration.
A colorful, inventive puzzler that looks great inside your VR headset. Inspired by tribal art and music, the game has you exploring temples as you search for stolen rhythms. This is a pretty good pick to keep you going until bigger PSVR games arrive, and it finds a great home on Sony’s headset.
Happy Drummer, from Shanghai Lusion
Price: $9.99
Happy Drummer has been out for a while on PC VR headsets but is now finally making its way over to the PSVR. In this Donkey Konga meets Audioshield hybrid game you’ll drum to the beat of music as cascading notes fall down for you to match. It works well and is pretty fun if you’re looking for a solid music game choice.
We finally have new games to talk about! It’s been a slow few weeks for Sony’s PlayStation VR (PSVR) but 2018 officially kicks off here with the release of two new games.

The Inpatient, from Supermassive Games
Price: $29.99
The long-awaited prequel to Until Dawn is finally here; The Inpatient is a psychological VR horror game set years before the events of the original game. You’re a patient at a mental asylum trying to make a hasty escape, but all is not what it seems. This is a creepy little VR game, though we found that the awkward controls held it back from greatness.
StarDrone VR, from Beatshapers
Price: $7.99
An arcade puzzle game gets a VR conversion. Aim and shoot a spinning disc across levels, trying to gather stars as you go. It’s a meticulous challenge that can be fun to play, though there’s really not much reason for it to be in VR. Cheap, though.
Sony’s flagship VR headset, the PSVR, really came into its own in 2017. Attending PSX down in Anaheim felt like a victory lap for the device as it comfortably sits in first place head of the Rift and Vive with over two million units and 12 million games sold.
As the first full year of consumer-grade VR is now in the books, Sony has released sales figures for the most downloaded PSVR games on the PSN Store. Since the US and EU stores are different, the lists vary as well.
These rankings do not take into account physical sales at all.
There’s a lot of overlap between the two lists, such as Batman, Superhot, Job Simulator, and others, but there are some big differences as well. Notably, Skyrim VR didn’t crack the top 10 for the EU but was #6 in the US. Also, almost all of the games listed are early releases for the headset, not recent ones, but that’s not uncommon for other game platforms either.
What do you think of the rankings? Are your favorites on either list? Let us know down in the comments below!
One of the last weeks for PSVR in 2017 is also one of the biggest. We’ve got a new version of one of the headset’s best games as well as some free tie-in content you definitely won’t want to miss out on.

Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition, From Capcom
Price: $29.99
Arguably this year’s best PSVR title gets repackaged with a heap of new content. The Gold Edition features the entire original campaign, both volumes of the Banned Footage DLC, a new mission called End of Zoe and the long-awaited mission called Not A Hero. As a package it’s plenty of polished content, and the new additions are quite welcome (and also available to original owners).
The Last Guardian VR Demo, from Sony Japan
Price: Free
Last years’ Team ICO epic gets a tie-in VR experience with just a short taste of what the entire game might look like in PSVR. Enjoy two sequences from the full game as if you were really there interacting with your beloved bird-dog. Sadly a full game isn’t in the works but hopefully this brings us a step closer to Shadow of the Colossus VR.
Strange Things The VR Experience, from Netflix
Price: Free
With the second season of Netflix’s hit series now out, you can also jump into the experience with VR. I’ll admit I’ve never watched the show so I don’t really know what to expect other than the smoke monster from Lost. Be aware that this experience is very short.
Just the one release on PlayStation VR (PSVR) this week, leading into the wrap up of what’s been a pretty good year for Sony’s headset. It’s a big one, though, so get your Aim controller ready.

Doom VFR, from id Software
Price: $29.99
id Software’s legendary shooter series comes to PSVR as a gory shooting spree. Featuring remixed content from the 2016 Doom with a fresh story, you’ll be tasked with killing as many demons as possible as you make your way through an overrun facility on Mars. Doom VFR can be a ton of fun on PSVR but it’s got some glaring controller implementation issues that make all three of its input solutions pretty awkward to use.
Just one new release this week but, well, when that release is Skyrim in VR, you don’t really need to worry about much else, do you? The waiting has finally paid off and from today you can jump into one of the best games ever, now in VR. You can read our full review of it here, watch a two-hour long livestream full of juicy details, and check out the new PSVR Skyrim VR bundle as well.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR, from Bethesda
Price: $59.99
This is it – the big one in more ways that one. The full entirety of Bethesda’s legendary 2011 RPG has been retooled for PSVR, with the entire world now available to explore inside your headset. Take on every quest once more with your Move controllers or with the DualShock 4, and become the badass warrior you were born to be. It’s a great port of a great game. We’ll see you in 200 hours or so.
