PS Plus Sale Discounts 20 PSVR Games Until April 30th

PS Plus Sale Discounts 20 PSVR Games Until April 30th

Today Sony unveiled a huge sale on the PSN Store that discounts nearly 300 different digital games across PS4, PSVR, and PS3. If you filter the list down to just PSVR games it totals out to exactly 20. The catch here is that this sale is only for PS Plus subscribers. Discounts range from 25% to 70% off. The sale ends on April 30th, this coming Tuesday, at 8AM PST.

While not an exhaustive discount list by any means, there are some great deals on offer here. For example, Borderlands 2 VR, one of PSVR’s biggest titles yet, is included at 25% off. That port fits the entire base game into VR, now with PS Aim Controller support, and it’ll receive all previously released Borderlands 2 DLC for free later this year. Still no co-op support though.

Here’s the full list of all games and their discounts:

18 Floors – $8.99 [40% Off]
Borderlands 2 VR – $37.49 [25% Off]
Code51: Mecha Arena – $9.99 [50% Off]
Drone Striker – $7.49 [25% Off]
Gun Club VR – $12.49 [50% Off]
Guns’n’Stories: Bulletproof VR – $11.99 [40% Off]
Knockout League – $14.99 [50% Off]
Loading Human: Chapter 1 – $7.99 [80% Off]
Mervils: A VR Adventure – $5.99 [70% Off]
Mortal Blitz – $5.99 [70% Off]
Paper Dolls – $12.74 [25% Off]
Prison Boss VR – $11.99 [40% Off]
Rush VR – $12.49 [50% Off]
Sega Genesis Classics – $20.99 [30% Off]
Super Amazeballs – $3.99 [20% Off]
The Walker – $5.99 [40% Off]
Torn – $8.99 [70% Off]
Unearthing Mars – $7.49 [50% Off]
Unearthing Mars 2: The Ancient War – $13.99 [30% Off]
Mind Labyrinth VR Dreams – $17.49 [30% Off]

I went through and bolded some of the ones I personally recommend trying out, but at these prices you’d be hard-pressed to pick one that isn’t worth your money. May is coming up fast which means big titles like Blood & Truth are just mere weeks away.

Let us know what you think of the sale down in the comments below!

The Biggest VR Releases Of The Week 10/28/18

The Biggest VR Releases Of The Week 10/28/18

Last week we had a massive new VR shooter hit Early Access in the form of War Dust, putting 64 players on the same map in two teams of 32 each. This week, there’s nothing quite that ambitious. Instead, we’ve got a free edition of one of VR’s most visually striking shooters, an Oculus Go port of Daydream’s best game, a PSVR tourism app, and a mesmerizing VR short about an ancient healer.

These are your biggest VR releases for the week of October 28th, 2018. For all of October’s VR releases check out this massive list and look forward to November VR releases here.

Seeking Dawn: Free to Play Edition, from Multiverse
Price: Free, Platforms: Rift, Vive, Windows VR

Seeking Dawn is a gorgeous VR game, but its gameplay never quite does enough to back up the extreme visual fidelity. We had plenty of issues with the game when it first launched earlier this year, but now there’s a new free version, complete with multiplayer support, that’s basically a wave-based survival mode. And it’s Halloween themed because why not!

Read our full review of the paid game here.

The Bond, from Axis Studios
Price: Free, Platforms: Rift, Vive

The Bond is a visually stunning, free, VR short about an ancient healer and her connection with all living things – good or evil. Far away, in an alien forest, a TiaMuati and her faithful beast seek out a sacred glade. Here she can connect with the web of life – and see the world through other’s eyes. But there’s an imbalance – a dark presence. As the forest’s guardian she must confront it… and you’re coming with her.

Legends of Catalonia, from The Greyskull Company
Price: Free, Platforms: PSVR

VR tourism hasn’t really hit its stride yet and it’s typically rare on PSVR, but this app is really, really impressive. You can visit famous locales around Barcelona like never before in this world. From the Store page: “Enter an epic adventure, traveler. Catalonia awaits you and you must help the knight Sant Jordi to recover the secrets of his lost diary. Join an adventure in the hands of illustrious travel companions and overcome the challenges that await you in a world of dreams, legends and fantasy.”

Eclipse: Edge of Light, from White Elk
Price: $9.99, Platforms: Oculus Go, Samsung Gear VR, Daydream

Review Synopsis:

If you hadn’t guessed by now I was really rather fond of Eclipse. I even see it as a sort of spiritual successor to Ustwo Games’ excellent Land’s End on Gear VR, only more ambitious. White Elk took a lot of risks with the game’s design that pay off in spades, from the smart use of Daydream’s controller to giving players full control over their movement. The result is a memorable sci-fi adventure that kept me fully engaged from start to finish, and left me feeling like I’d really explored an alien world. This isn’t just the best game on Daydream, but one of the best mobile VR games full stop.

PSVR Gets Massive Two-Year Anniversary Sale On Over 170 Titles

PSVR Gets Massive Two-Year Anniversary Sale On Over 170 Titles

Today Sony launched PSVR’s “Happy Birthday Sale” to commemorate its upcoming two-year anniversary on October 13th. The massive sale is running from now until October 23rd. There have been lots of PSN Sales for PSVR titles over the years, but few have been anywhere near as massive as this one.

With over 170 titles discounted, some up to even 80% off normal prices, I’d be surprised if you don’t find something worth buying. Since that’s far too many titles for us to spend all day individually linking in the text here, we’ve instead rounded up 15 of our favorites. But you should really check out the full sale on the PSN Store as soon as you can.

All sales prices below will be the PS Plus version of each sale price, which is 5% – 10% higher per game. If you don’t have PS Plus, now would be a good time to get and it’ll pay for itself in extra savings alone.

WipEout VR And Other PSVR Exclusives Get Permanent Price Drop

WipEout VR And Other PSVR Exclusives Get Permanent Price Drop

After Sony slashed the price of the PSVR by a whole $100, they’ve now gone ahead and permanently dropped the price of some of the platform’s very best games, including WipEout Omege Collection, Driveclub VR, PSVR Worlds, and several others.

All of these and other signs seem to be pointing towards a major update for PSVR’s ecosystem could be coming soon. While the PS5 may be a ways away, that doesn’t mean a PSVR 2.0 or at least an updated set of controllers and tracking system couldn’t serve as an interim upgrade.

Here’s the full list of permanent price drops:

Now is as good of a time as any to grab any of these that you haven’t yet. Worth noting however is that Rigs, despite being a great game that we immensely enjoyed at launch, relies heavily on its multiplayer features and the creators of the game have been closed down so don’t expect much support. StarBlood Arena however, a much newer multiplayer-focused shooter, should see a decent influx of players with its new, low price. The same goes for Driveclub VR and WipEout.

The Biggest PSVR Releases Of The Week 04/08/18

The Biggest PSVR Releases Of The Week 04/08/18

Still playing WipEout VR? Yeah, good call, but if you don’t have a Rift or Vive then there’s one big release you probably have been missing out on until now that could pull you away and it features a mad scientist + his grandson going on crazy adventures.

If you missed last week’s releases, you can see those here. UploadVR also launched the ‘UploadVR PSVR Community’ on PlayStation 4! Join up, find other gamers to play with, and engage in discussions with them. Also, don’t forget to check out our list of the 9 Best PlayStation VR Games if you need any extra inspiration.

Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality, from Owlchemy Labs

Price: $29.99

The creators of Job Simulator expanded on that game’s core premise to deliver a hilarious adventure across multiple dimensions in this Rick and Morty VR extravaganza. Not to mention a spoof of Roy: A Life Well-Lived that’s sure to earn its fair share of replays. Definitely recommended for fans of Job Simulator or fans of the cartoon.

Read our full review and making of feature for more details.

Operation Warcade, from Ivanovich Games

Price: $19.99

Operation Warcade is like an arcade cabinet wave shooter transported into VR. The mechanics are fine, it plays well, and it captures the right tone, but it’s just not that inventive or fun to play in the grand scheme of things. Maybe worth it on a steep sale.

Time Carnage, from Wales Interactive

Price: $19.99

Time Carnage is another uninspired wave shooter that does nothing to move the genre forward or offer up a creative spin on existing tropes. You point, you shoot, you rinse, and you repeat. We’d recommend passing on this one.

The Biggest PSVR Releases Of The Week 04/01/18

The Biggest PSVR Releases Of The Week 04/01/18

If, like us, you’re still playing Wipeout VR, then you might not be too interested in this week’s releases. That said, there are a few that you should definitely give a look.

Island Time, from Flight School Studios
Price: $15.99 (Rift, Vive)

Island Time is a charming little survival game in which you find yourself on a stranded patch of land trying to eat enough food to stay alive. You combine items to make tools that make it easier to catch fish and steal coconuts. It’s a pretty intriguing concept, though the game is sadly a little short on content.

Our full review.

Crisis on the Planet of the Apes VR, from FoxNext
Price: $14.99 (Rift, Vive)

Everyone’s favorite monkeys get their own VR game, tying into the recent film trilogy. Crisis is a short experience in which you play as one of the intelligent apes, captured and being tested on in a human facility. It’s your task to escape, which will involve clambering up pipes and gunning down enemies. It’s a little short and repetitive, but a fair amount of fun.

The Biggest PSVR Releases Of The Week 03/25/18

The Biggest PSVR Releases Of The Week 03/25/18

This week doesn’t have a ton of new releases, but that’s okay. You know why? Because perhaps the very best VR racing game thus far just got released and it’s an exclusive. Every PSVR owner needs to experience this one.

WipEout Omega Collection VR, from Sony Interactive Entertainment

Price: $39.99 (VR Support is a free update)

I shouldn’t have to sell you on this. It’s WipEout, the legendary sci-fi racing series from Sony, but in VR. Since it’s the WipEout Omega Collection has a ton of tracks, lots of ships, and plenty of content. Online multiplayer. Cross-play between VR and non-VR. If you have a PSVR then you should be playing this game.

Preta: Vendetta Rising, from Illion Corp.

Price: $19.99

Preta: Vendetta Rising is a third-person VR “MMO” in which you control fantasy characters and lead them against an army of bad guys. VR support doesn’t add much to this type of game, but it’s at least a unique experience for PSVR. It’s a port of a PC VR title from last year.

Khalid Young Dumb & Broke VR, from Sony Music Entertainment

Price: Free

This VR experience puts viewers in the center of an immersive representation of one of Khalid’s iconic tracks. Through it all you’ll explore “cityscapes, the far reaches of the cosmos and high school football fields” like never before. It’s free, but only recommended for existing fans.
