Raw Data & Sprint Vector Double Pack Coming to PlayStation VR in September

Survios Double pack

LA-based virtual reality (VR) developer Survios made a big name for itself in the early years of the industry’s resurgence with titles like arcade shooter Raw Data and competitive multiplayer Sprint Vector. In a couple of months, PlayStation VR owners will be able to pick up a physical double pack featuring both of these videogames.

survios VR Power Pack

Called ‘The Survios VR Power Pack’, both titles are two of the studios’ best, with Raw Data putting its teams talents on the map as one of the VR videogames to own in 2016. Featuring solo, co-op and PvP multiplayer modes, Raw Data allows you to chose from various character classes each with various melee and ranged abilities. In the campaign you have to smash through waves of robotic enemies as you try to steal data from the corrupt Eden Corporation.

Just as energetic but far more competitive is Sprint Vector, one of the first VR experiences to challenge the way players moved through digital worlds. Set against the backdrop of a game show, players have 12 courses to master, running jumping and flying their way to the finish line as fast as possible.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Perp Games and provide access to new audiences with the retail release of The Survios VR Power Pack,” said Hunter Kitagawa, Marketing Director at Survios. “From lively cinematics to high-intensity action and adrenaline-pumping gameplay featured in The Survios VR Power Pack, ‘Raw Data’ and ‘Sprint Vector’ are games that showcase the best of what only VR can do.”

Survios Double pack

“It’s been a great honour to partner with Survios to fuse together two of the best VR games ever created into a single pack,“ said Rob Edwards, Managing Director at Perp Games. “We are delighted to bring this essential VR bundle to our PSVR players and provide them a new way to own and access these fantastic games.”

The Survios VR Power Pack will come to European retails locations from 11th September 2020 with a North American version arriving at a later, unspecified date. It’ll feature Raw Data on disk and Sprint Vector as a voucher code of PlayStation Store. A price for the pack has been revealed just yet.

6 PlayStation VR Titles Coming in Perp Games’ Summer Spectacular Lineup

Perp Games Summer Spectacular

British publisher Perp Games has made a name for itself in the virtual reality (VR) market through its continual physical PlayStation VR releases. Today, the company has announced its biggest lineup of titles coming globally in the next couple of months.

Budget Cuts - Combat

With a busy release schedule across most formats, PlayStation VR is slated to get six videogames starting on 19th June with Mini Motor Racing X from The Binary Mill. Originally released on PlayStation Store last December, the micro racing experience offers lots of tracks and cars for single-player and multiplayer racing.

Also coming from the same developer is Rush VR, the wingsuit racing experience which has been available digitally for a couple of years. Rush VR is slated to arrive in stores on 26th June. Making it a triple bill from The Binary Mill is Gun Club VR, a first-person shooter (FPS) focused on highly realistic weapons and gameplay mechanics. It’ll arrive on 3rd July.

Joining Gun Club VR on 3rd July will be Cortopia Studios’ puzzler Down the Rabbit Hole. This magical adventure puts you as an unnamed girl who’s searching for her pet, stumbling upon Wonderland in the process.

Perp Games Summer Spectacular

Probably the biggest PlayStation VR featured in this selection is Neat Corporations Budget Cuts. Scheduled to launch on 10th July, Budgets Cuts performance has been improved thanks to the studios’ advancements made when developing its sequel Budget Cuts 2: Mission Insolvency.

Last but not least is Headmaster: Extra Time Edition. Originally a launch title for PlayStation VR way back in 2016, this new version set to arrive on 31st July feature the core experience as well as the pass and play Party Mode and brand the new Lost Lessons DLC.

So PlayStation VR owners have lots to look forward to. As further titles for the headset are announce, VRFocus will keep you updated.

Budget Cuts is Coming to PlayStation VR in May

Neat Corporation’s stealth experience Budget Cuts arrived for PC-based virtual reality (VR) headsets back in 2018, with a PlayStation VR version revealed to be in the works the following year. Since that announcement Budget Cuts 2: Mission Insolvency has been released but the console version hasn’t been forgotten. Today, in collaboration with Perp Games, Neat Corporation has revealed that Budget Cuts will finally be coming to PlayStation VR this May.

Budget Cuts is a stealthy videogame designed for physicality as well as comfort. You play an employee at mega-conglomerate TransCorp who finds out their job is in danger with everyone’s roles being replaced by robots. A mysterious package arrives with a prototype stealth device which enables you to head out and hopefully save your job.

This device is a teleportation gun which not only allows for comfortable exploration but also check for guards around corners before deciding to move. You’ll need to make full use of the expansive offices, sneak around the facilities using whatever vents, ceiling crawl spaces and more to remain hidden. These small areas do mean you’ll have to actually crouch or neal down because of the tight headroom. Should you be spotted by any of the guards then it’s time for a more direct approach, using any implements that come to hand, from knives to scissors.

“We are so excited to see Budget Cuts coming to all you awesome Playstation VR players out there! We’ve been huge fans of how creative and approachable the audience for PSVR has been throughout the years, and are really looking forward to seeing everyone meet Bob, Amber, and all the other Robots in Budget Cuts,” said Jenny Nordenborg, CEO of Neat Corporation in a statement.

Budget Cuts - Combat

While Rob Edwards, Managing Director of Perp Games, adds: “One of the most popular VR games is now coming to PlayStation VR. Budget Cuts is one of the most beloved VR games of all time and we’re so honoured to be working with NEAT Corporation and Coatsink to bring a physical edition to PlayStation VR at retail.”

Budget Cuts is scheduled for launch on 15th May 2020, simultaneously via PlayStation Store and at retail locations. For further updates on the franchise from Neat Corporation, keep reading VRFocus.

Creed: Rise to Glory Sees Physical PlayStation VR Release in Europe This Week

When it comes to boxing videogames for PlayStation VR your choices are fairly limited. There’s Knockout League for a playful take on the sport, BoxVR which is more workout focused or the movie inspired Creed: Rise to Glory. Created by Survios, the latter has been available for purchase since 2018, in digital form worldwide and physically in North America. This week Creed: Rise to Glory will hit retail locations in Europe for the first time.

Creed: Rise to Glory

GIVEAWAY: Win Copies Of Pistol Whip, Doctor Who VR, And More!

Happy Holidays, VR fans! Over the weekend Perp Games continued their VR Advent Calendar series of videos in which they’ve been partnering with VR media publications like UploadVR and other content creators to give away select VR games, like Pistol Whip!

For our partnership with Perp Games we’re happy to giveaway four extremely different titles (such as Pistol Whip and Ninja Legends) that are sure to scratch at least one of your gaming itches:

Doctor Who: The Edge of Time

Excerpt from Jamie Feltham’s Review:

“Who is at its best when there’s a hook; a gimmick so playful and innovative that anyone can get carried away in the madness that ensues. Instead of testing those waters, The Edge of Time settles for bringing the series’ most tried and true elements directly into headsets in hopes of winning over dedicated fans. It plays more like a rejected episode of the TV series rather than something that fully embraces its platform. The Who faithful be satisfied in that safety, I suspect, but I personally can’t help but wish this was a little more dangerous.”

GIVEAWAY: Win A Free Copy Of A Doctor Who: The Edge of Time On Steam!

Pistol Whip

Excerpt from Ian Hamilton’s Review:

“Pistol Whip’s multiple difficulties and modifiers like Deadeye and Dual-wield add depth to a game that’s more addictive and satisfying than Beat Saber. This is neither fully a shooter nor completely a rhythm game yet it ticks off both boxes and does so exceptionally quickly in a stylish package. The 10 launch songs, all in the same general musical style, are a bit limiting. Pistol Whip, though, is already the game that brings me back to my VR headset again and again, and I expect that to be the case for months to come. I’ll be in the group waiting for more official scenes to arrive, trying to finish a few more songs in Deadeye mode on hard, showing the game to others and hoping someone figures out how to add custom maps and songs.”

GIVEAWAY: Win A Free Copy Of Pistol Whip!

Ninja Legends

Excerpt from David Jagneaux’ Preview:

“Although I initially wrote off Ninja Legends as just another wave-based VR game recycling assets and gameplay mechanics, it’s actually really fun and well-made with an addictive slow-motion system and satisfying ways to slice enemies in half and lop off body parts…It’s got a very cartoon-style aesthetic which helps alleviate the subject matter and lets you focus on the fun of a good slash. What makes the system so fun is that it isn’t canned animations at all. If you slice through an enemy with enough force you can actually cleave the character model itself into bits.”

GIVEAWAY: Win A Free Copy Of Ninja Legends!

HellBlade: Senua’s Sacrifice Non-VR Version

NOTE: This is not the VR version of the game, Perp Games instead sent us codes for PS4 (NA and EU), Xbox One, and Switch. We do not have any PC VR codes to give out unfortunately, Perp Games only provided non-VR codes.

Excerpt from David Jagneaux’s Review of the VR version:

“In Hellblade you take on the role of Senua as she descends into the depths of Nordic Hell, otherwise known as Helheim, on a quest to save the soul of her lost lover. Throughout the adventure you’re besieged by twisted, demonic creatures that engage you in ferocious melee combat. The journey consists of battling back these deranged creatures, exploring dark, twisted worlds, and uncovering the meaning behind cryptic symbols and puzzles….a remarkable achievement in visual and sound design…”

GIVEAWAY: Win A Free NON-VR Copy of HellBlade!

Thanks for entering and good luck! Which of these games do you hope to win most: Pistol Whip, Doctor Who VR, Ninja Legends, or the non-VR version of HellBlade?
