The 2019 Oculus Summer Sale has Begun, but not for Oculus Quest

It’s time for the season of summer sales, where you can build up that videogame library with all those titles on your wishlist. Steam has already begun its event and this week Oculus has now started its week-long promotion.

Oculus Rift S 1

Over on the Oculus Store you’ll be able to find plenty of discounts on some of the best virtual reality (VR) experiences available, for either Oculus Rift/Rift S or Oculus Go. Sadly, there are no sales for standalone headset Oculus Quest, most likely because the device only arrived just over a month ago.

When it comes to Oculus Rift videogames there are some significant savings to be had in a number of ways. Firstly, there are individual sales where you can save up to 90% on some titles. For example, big budget experiences like Raw Data, Space Junkies, Arizona Sunshine, Robinson: The Journey, Sprint Vector and The Gallery – Episode 2: Heart of the Emberstone are all discounted by 60%. For maximum value for money, you can pick up Windlands, Devil and the Fairy and Crystal Rift which have a 90% savings.

It’s also worth checking the store every day as Oculus is releasing new Duo Packs each day. Today’s deals are Star Trek: Bridge Crew and Ironwolf for a combined 43% discount or In Death and Sacralith: The Archer’s Tale for a combined 28% saving.

And to top of the bundle goodness, there’s always the Oculus Originals Premium Pack. With ten of the platforms best videogames offering a mixed genre selection, the pack includes Oculus’ dynamic bundle pricing so you only pay for the titles you don’t own.

Oculus Go GDC Promo 03

As for Oculus Go there is a similar mix of savings of offer, with 50% discounts on titles like Rush, Land’s End, Gun Club 3 VR, Esper 2, Witchblood and many more. Oculus Go discounts seem to peak at 80% with the likes of Hidden Temple – VR Adventure, Virtual Ninja VR and Panzer Panic.

There will be continual Daily Deals rolling through the week – today’s is Coaster Combat saving 62% – or you can always go for the ten title Grand Essentials Pack which features the same dynamic bundle pricing if you happen to already own one or more of the videogames.

The Oculus Summer Sale 2019 will last until 7th July at 11:59 pm PT. For any further VR sales taking place, keep reading VRFocus.
