Star Wars: Squadrons VR Pre-Launch Gameplay Livestream With Flight Stick

For today’s livestream we’re playing Star Wars: Squadrons, a AAA immersive space combat game from EA Motive! If you’re curious about how we livestream the way we do then look no further than this handy guide for general tips and this guide specific to our Oculus Quest setup.

In case you missed it earlier this morning, our review-in-progress published for Star Wars: Squadrons, including impressions on the story mode, gameplay, and VR support. We’ll update it with a finalized score once we finish the story and spend time with the multiplayer modes this weekend. Let’s just say I kind of love it so far.

Our Star Wars: Squadrons livestream is planned to start at about 10:45 AM PT today and will last for around an hour or two so, give or take. We’ll be hitting just our YouTube and I’ll be streaming from an Oculus Quest via Link using a T.16000M flight stick. I’m flying solo on this one and will pin chat inside my cockpit to keep an eye on things.

You can see lots of our past archived streams over in our YouTube playlist or even all livestreams here on UploadVR and various other gameplay highlights. There’s lots of good stuff there so make sure and subscribe to us on YouTube to stay up-to-date on gameplay videos, video reviews, live talk shows, interviews, and more original content!

And please let us know which games or discussions you want us to livestream next! We have lots of VR games in the queue that we would love to show off more completely. Let’s get ready to go!

VR Roulette Episode 4 LIVE: Ratbois & Roasting

Welcome to VR Roulette! This is our LIVE weekly game show on YouTube that’s streamed (usually) around 10:30AM PT on Wednesdays. We select a list of weird, quirky, and/or bizarre VR games and take turns spinning the wheel to see what we’ve all got to play next. Tune in with us live on YouTube! Read our announcement article for more details.

Today we’ll be busy chucking snowballs in Snowday, sorting eggs from bombs (for some reason) in Egg Time and fending off hordes of giant rats in the rather terrifying-looking MegaRats. There’s also a Doritos VR Battle game, which is the most exciting thing to happen to Zeena since the advent of the 3D Dorito. We even have our first request! But you’ll have to tune in to learn all about it.

We should be in for a good show this week. We’re going to experiment with introducing some new rules

But enough 90’s confectionary trivia; we’ve got a gameshow to make. Be here bright and early at 10:30 AM PT for all the usual shenanigans. Apologies in advance for this week’s thumbnail.

Do you have any recommendations for games or types of games you’d like to see in future VR Roulette episodes? Do you think we could do anything to make the show better (keeping in mind David lives in California and Jamie/Zeena live in the UK) or is it good as-is right now?

Solaris: Offworld Combat VR Shooter Quest Gameplay Livestream

For today’s livestream we’re playing Solaris: Offworld Combat, the latest  VR shooter from the creators of Firewall Zero Hour! If you’re curious about how we livestream the way we do then look no further than this handy guide for general tips and this guide specific to our Oculus Quest setup.

Yesterday the next VR shooter from First Contact Entertainment released, Solaris: Offworld Combat. It’s a sci-fi take on the arena shooter genre with fast-paced gameplay reminiscent of classics such as Quake and Unreal Tournament.

You can read more about the game and my first impressions right here.

Our Solaris livestream is planned to start at about 1:15 PM PT today and will last for around an hour or so, give or take. We’ll be hitting just our YouTube and I’ll be streaming from an Oculus Quest with two Touch controllers using a Chromecast connection. I’m flying solo on this one and will only be able to see chat periodically when I peak through my headset nose gap.

Virtua Sonic Fan-Game Livestream: Gotta Go Fast In VR!

For today’s livestream we’re playing Virtua Sonic, a fan-made Sonic VR game for PC headsets! If you’re curious about how we livestream the way we do then look no further than this handy guide for general tips and this guide specific to our Oculus Quest setup.

Sometimes you just gotta go fast. Sonic knows that and that makes Sonic a pretty cool dude. Now, with the power of virtual reality and the sheer will and dedication of fan modders that sacrifice hours of work just so others can have fun, I too can go fast by playing Virtua Sonic VR!

You can read more about the fan-game right here in our original Virtua Sonic coverage from back in June and download it for yourself, for free, right here if you have a capable gaming PC and PC VR headset.

Our Virtua Sonic livestream is planned to start at about 12:00 PM PT today and will last for around an hour or so, give or take. We’ll be hitting just our YouTube and I’ll be streaming from an Oculus Rift S with two touch controllers. I’m flying solo on this one, pinning chat behind me to check periodically.

VR Roulette Episode 2 LIVE: Ski Doom, Cute Idols, And More!

Welcome to VR Roulette! This is our LIVE weekly game show on YouTube that’s streamed (usually) at 10AM PT on Wednesdays. We select a list of weird, quirky, and/or bizarre VR games and take turns spinning the wheel to see what we’ve all got to play next. Tune in with us live on YouTube! Read our announcement article for more details.

Last week we debuted VR Roulette with minimal technical issues, so this time we’re back again and hoping it goes even more smoothly! And yes, we know, it’s a Friday and not a Wednesday but a little thing called Facebook Connect happened and it sort of threw a wrench into the week’s typical plans.

If you missed the pilot episode, you can check that out here. For this week we’re revamping the wheel with all-new games, including You Can Pet The Dog VR, Happy Oshare Time, Ski Doom VR, Loo War, and much more. It should be a great time, all things considered here.

You can tune in live right here starting at 10AM PT or if the stream is over you can watch it as an archived video. Make sure and take time to appreciate the beauty of this thumbnail:

Project CARS 3 VR Livestream: Racing Wheel Gameplay

For today’s livestream we’re playing Project CARS 3 in VR using a racing wheel and pedal set! If you’re curious about how we livestream the way we do then look no further than this handy guide for general tips and this guide specific to our Oculus Quest setup.

Project CARS 3 released this month with full VR support on PC and if you’re curious what we thought, you can read our review already. Overall, it’s not a bad game, but is definitely stripped down in comparison to its predecessor. The benefit to that is that it’s now a more accessible and easy to get into game, which means I can actually complete races reliably without resorting to the absolute beginner difficulty settings.

Our Project CARS 3 livestream is planned to start at about 3:15 PM PT today and will last for around an hour or so, give or take, depending partially on how long my small toddler child decides to behave. We’ll be hitting just our YouTube and I’ll be streaming from an Oculus Rift S with a Thrustmaster T300RS GT racing wheel. I’m flying solo on this one so I’ll pin chat behind me to check periodically.

STRIDE Livestream: Free-Running Like Mirror’s Edge VR!

For today’s livestream we’re playing STRIDE, which is basically like Mirror’s Edge VR! If you’re curious about how we livestream the way we do then look no further than this handy guide for general tips and this guide specific to our Oculus Quest setup.

A few years ago developers were terrified of letting you move using analog sticks in VR. Now, we’ve got entire teams of developers making games about free-running and wall-jumping across rooftops like in STRIDE. Crazy time to be alive, right? This should be a ton of fun!

STRIDE hits Early Access on PC this week on September 4th.

Our STRIDE livestream is planned to start at about 11:30 AM PT today and will last for around an hour or so, give or take, depending partially on how long my small toddler child decides to behave. We’ll be hitting just our YouTube and I’ll lbe streaming from an Oculus Rift S two touch controllers. I’m flying solo on this one, pinning chat behind me to check periodically.

Return To Castle Wolfenstein VR Livestream: New Oculus Quest Mod!

For today’s livestream we’re playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein in VR using a brand new Oculus Quest mod! If you’re curious about how we livestream the way we do then look no further than this handy guide for general tips and this guide specific to our Oculus Quest setup.

There’s something special about replaying an older game in VR with updates visuals that just never gets old to me. Checking out DOOM on Oculus Quest was a real nostalgia trip and now getting to play Return to Castle Wolfenstein in VR with updated textures, one of the all-time classic FPS games on PC, is just really surreal. And not to mention an absolute blast! Check out our original story and 10-minutes of gameplay here.

Our Return to Castle Woflenstein VR livestream is planned to start at about 11:00 PM PT today and willb around an hour or so, give or take, depending partially on how long my small toddler child decides to behave. We’ll be hitting just our YouTube and I’ll likely be streaming from a Pimax 5K+ using two Index controllers. I’m flying solo on this one.

Rocking Hero Livestream: Guitar Hero In VR With Index Controllers!

For today’s livestream we’re playing Rocking Hero, a VR music game inspired by the likes of Guitar Hero and Rock Band, exclusively developed for VR! If you’re curious about how we livestream the way we do then look no further than this handy guide for general tips and this guide specific to our Oculus Quest setup.

Ever since Rock Band VR I’ve been waiting for someone else to come along and take a proper swing at the genre. Using the physical guitar controller was a nice touch, and it’s compatible here as well, but something that can adapt to your motion controllers is even more appealing for accessibility and ease of use. As a result, Rocking Hero feels like it could be onto something here.

Our Rocking Hero VR livestream is planned to start at about 3:15 PM PT and will last for around an hour or so, give or take, depending partially on how long my small toddler child naps. We’ll be hitting just our YouTube and I’ll likely be streaming from a Pimax 5K+ using two Index controllers. I’m flying solo on this one.
