Iragon’s Naughty VR Kickstarter has Smashed its Funding Goal

Iragon

Towards the end of July VRFocus reported on Repulse Game Studios launching a rather modest Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign for its virtual reality (VR) RPG Iragon. Having already spent three years in development the team was looking to raise a mere $10,000 USD. But with 10 days left to go the campaign has now surpassed $100,000.

Iragon

Currently sat at $105,002 from 2003 backers, Iragon isn’t your usual VR role-playing adventure; adding an erotic twist to the gameplay. It still has all the hallmarks of a classic RPG with a focus on narrative and a hero tasked with saving the day in a fantasy world, there just happens to be romance and a bisexual sorceress thrown in for good measure.

This has obviously proven to be popular as that current cash tally means Iragon is 1047% funded. This has also helped the team achieve three out of four listed stretch goals with one still hidden. The stretch goals see characters April and Erika expanded their storyline, a new boss fight added and more outfits for the girls. The final $125,000 goal adds body type variety customisation so players can fully tweak those lasses.

For those interested in backing Iragon before the Kickstarter ends tiers start from $25 for a digital copy with the official launch expected to take place in June 2022. Paying more gets you more (or possibly less) with the $50 tier including a “Nude mode patch for NPC’s during combat,” which sounds like an ever so useful feature. You can even try before you buy with a free PC demo available.

Iragon

Iragon is a fantasy world filled with monstrous creatures and merciless soldiers to fight as well as scantily clad women. You step into the shoes of Darick, a poor village kid whose world drastically alters when he meets bisexual sorceress, Brianna. She’s currently being hunted by a dangerous empire ruling the lands and you decide to help her out. To aid her journey you get to learn magic, fight battle armies and meet the ladies of the land to fornicate with.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of Repulse Game Studios’ Iragon, reporting back with further updates.

Erotic VR RPG Iragon Turns up the Heat on Kickstarter

Iragon

There are plenty of ways to get hot under the collar in virtual reality (VR) with Repulse Game Studios currently developing a rather steamy experience called Iragon. Having been in the works for three years the studio has just launched a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign to help bring the project to a wider audience.

Iragon

Iragon is a classic fantasy, role-playing game (RPG) adventure where you take on the role of Darick, a young lad whose world suddenly changes when he meets a sorceress called Brianna, who is currently being hunted by an empire ruling the lands. To aid her journey you get to learn magic, fight monsters and (if you hadn’t realised) meet girls within the story and have intimate experiences with them.

So that means erotic adventures await, with five different girls you can romance and *ahem* engage in relations with whilst exploring the lands of Iragon. All the naughtiness even extends to lesbian scenes which you can then jump in the middle off if you so wish. It’s all completely interactive so needless to say this is an 18+ videogame.

Compatible with PC VR headsets like Oculus Rift, Iragon can be played on a normal desktop and you can skip the raunchy gameplay – or should that be foreplay? – if you’re more concerned with battling armies of witches and demons. To that end, Iragon has melee and magic combat systems in place, a destructible environment and an upgrade system for your magic and weapons.

Iragon

Because Repulse Game Studios is so far through development the Kickstarter is only looking to raise a modest $10,000 USD by the end of September, with $3k already raised. Backing tiers start from $25 for a copy of Iragon with the official launch expected to take place in June 2022. There’s already a free PC demo available so you can see the videogame in action before spending any cash.

The studio has listed several stretch goals for its Iragon Kickstarter, if these are reached VRFocus will let you know.

Testers Wanted for Repulse Game Studio’s Action Adventure Iragon

After launching its first virtual reality (VR) Experiment Gone Rogue towards the end of 2018, indie developer Repulse Game Studio has announced its second VR project, Iragon, with the team looking for players to test an early version of the videogame.

Iragon

Currently, Iragon is in a very rough Pre-Alpha state with a short demo available for players who are willing to try it and give constructive feedback. The title is only a month into development with Repulse Game Studio keen on continuing the project with helpful information. To take part all you need to do is join the studio’s Discord server.

Supporting both VR and non-VR gameplay, Iragon, is set in a fantasy medieval world filled with magic, elves and wizards.

The story synopsis explains that: “A war between the nations of Balmoros and The Empire has left their people with lifelong bad blood. You step in the shoes of Darick – an 18-year-old boy who is on his way to becoming a knight under the guidance of his father – a Balmoros knight who took part in the war. One day, Darick stumbles upon a mysterious girl carrying an even more mysterious book. It contains a secret that The Empire wants to get a hold of at any cost. Now you find yourself on a magical journey, guided by your loyal elf friend through adventures that are going to either break you or shape your character as you uncover the deep secret that can change the course of Balmoros’ history.”

Iragon

When it comes to the VR version one of the main features is a grappling hook movement mechanic – similar to the  Windlands series – enabling players to swing around the cold rocky landscape. Employing this kind of feature is bold for any developer as it has the possibility of inducing nausea in a lot of players.

It’s way too early to tell when Repulse Game Studio might launch Iragon but the company has confirmed its plans on supporting Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR. Check out the early alpha trailer below, and for further updates, keep reading VRFocus.
