House Flipper Pets VR Announced For PC VR

The House Flipper series is coming back to VR, this time with pets in tow.

Developer Petard Games, together with publisher Frozen Way, this week announced House Flipper Pets VR. It’s an all-new game in the series which features the same base mechanics as the original House Flipper VR, just this time with some very good dogs and also some very bad cats making a mess of things. Check it out in the trailer below.

House Flipper Pets VR Trailer

The House Flipper series sees you clean out long-abandoned spaces and turn them into wonder-homes, fully changing the look of a house. In the Pets version, you’ll find animals that already live in the given house. Alongside cleaning up and buying new furniture, you’ll also have to feed them, pet them, play with them and provide new items for them to interact with.

Also new to this entry in the series is co-op. You’ll be able to tackle interior overhauls with a friend.

And, to be clear, this is a full standalone release that’s separate from the original House Flipper VR. The flat-screen House Flipper game is also getting a Pets edition, but that’s intended to be DLC for the original title. So far the game’s only been confirmed for launch on PC VR headsets (the SteamVR page is up now), but the original House Flipper VR did also come to Quest, so there’s a chance we see it there too.

Humble Bundle’s Fall VR Emporium Deal Includes $154+ of Games

Humble Bundle

2020’s Humble Bundle Fall virtual reality (VR) offer arrived a little late in the season but that’s not the case in 2021, a little early in fact. The Fall VR Emporium Bundle has just gone live where you can get up to seven titles for an incredibly low price for a limited time.

Humble Bundle

This year’s VR bundle features quite the crop of VR videogames with Arizona Sunshine, House Flipper VR, Until You Fall, Zero Caliber VR, A Fisherman’s Tale, Paper Beast and Wands all featuring. As always there are various options depending on how much you want to spend and which titles take your fancy, it isn’t quite pick ‘n’ mix but it is close.

You can go for the one item bundle which is Wands, where you have to pay at least £0.72 GBP. Then there’s the four-item bundle with Zero Caliber VR, A Fisherman’s Tale, Paper Beast and Wands for a minimum of £10.64, But is you don’t have any of these titles then you may as well go for all seven at the minimum purchase price of £10.83.

If you’re new to Humble Bundle the whole point is that this is a charitable offer, encouraging you to pay a little more – why not round up to £20 for example? – for a good cause. It’s not a solitary cause you might not be interested in either, you can select which organisation receives your funds (there’s GamesAid, Women in Games International and many more) and how much is split between the publisher, Humble Bundle and the charity.

Humble Bundle

There are definitely some choice titles in the selection such as Schell Games’ roguelike sword fighter Until You Fall and Pixel Reef’s delightfully out there puzzler Paper Beast. Both are VR experiences everyone should have a go at.

The Fall VR Emporium Bundle is available now through to 1st October 2021. For further updates on the latest VR deals – like the Oculus Quest Larcenauts one tomorrow – keep reading VRFocus.

House Flipper VR Lets You Renovate Homes Without The Mess, Coming To PC VR Nov. 5th

Tomorrow House Flipper VR releases on Steam to bring the oddly addictive and strangle therapeutic experience of renovating and decorating a house to VR headsets. This time, without the mess and physical labor.

Outside of VR, House Flipper is one of the most popular “menial task, but addictive in a video game” simulators out there with over 28,000 user reviews on Steam granting a ‘Very Positive’ consensus. Joining the ranks of titles like VRKShop and, to a lesser degree, Job Simulator, House Flipper VR looks quite peaceful and satisfying.

Interestingly, ‘HouseFlipper VR’ is already on the Oculus Quest from the same publisher, but it looks like a dramatically lower quality version based on the screenshots. The PC version appears to be closer to its non-VR counterpart.

The biggest differences between the VR and non-VR version are how much more interactive it is in VR. Instead of clicking objects to clean them you’ll have to actually move your hand and arms more realistically. It should still be a lot less work than actually renovating a real house, though.

house flipper vr makeover gifPersonally, my wife and I just sold our home. It didn’t involve any renovating or flipping, just packing and moving, but we’ve always enjoyed watching house flipper shows on HGTV and other channels. There’s an odd burst of dopamine when you watch other people do all the hard work while you sit back, relax, and watch the before and after shots. The drama in between is just an added bonus.

House Flipper VR is coming to Steam with support for Rift, Vive, and Valve Index. We’re not sure of the price, but we’d expect $19.99 just like the non-VR version. Let us know if you have any questions or thoughts on House Flipper VR down in the comments below!

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Skydance Interactive

One of the biggest videogames to arrive this year, Skydance Interactive’s The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners needs little introduction. House Flipper VR

House Flipper VR Will Trigger Your Home-Owning Anxieties On Oculus Quest This Week

Forgive me, but as a late-20’s wannabe home-owner that knows he’ll need to get a fixer-upper if he’s ever to afford it, there’s something weirdly dystopic about House Flipper VR.

As the name suggests, this is the VR version of a (surprisingly popular) game that’s all about turning derelict, abandoned living spaces into cozy abodes. In other words, all that unhealthy fantasizing we all do about putting in blood, sweat and tears into a space just to get the thing every human deserves but always seems so out of reach? This is the game for that. Check out the PC VR trailer below.

In all seriousness, though, House Flipper VR is promising a meaty experience when it launches on Oculus Quest on August 27th. In the game, you’ll accept jobs from clients, coming in to turn trash piles into treasure. That will involve scrubbing away the dirt, painting walls, cleaning up trash and all the other menial tasks you’ve dreamed about in VR.

Fans of the original game will definitely notice that House Flipper VR isn’t just a direct port of the existing game. It’s an all-new experience with tailor-made mechanics. It’s great to see VR getting a native version, though we sure hope we get to swing a hammer in this edition too.

Developer Frozen District says House Flipper VR will cost $14.99 on the Oculus Quest store. A SteamVR version will release on September 24th for the same price. Interested in the game? Let us know in the comments below!
