Augmented World Expo (AWE) is returning to Munich with its 2nd annual European conference and expo this October, and the initial line-up for the event has been revealed. AWE Europe 2017 will showcase the latest in AR+VR from Audi, Avegant, Bosch, DAQRI, Epson, Fraunhofer, Holo-light, Nvidia, ODG, RE’FLEKT, Volkswagen, Vuforia, Vuzix, Wayfair, Wikitude and more as part of a comprehensive lineup of conference keynotes and panels, exhibits, networking events and breakout sessions.

Vuzix iWearAugmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) continues its steady growth across the globe, and AWE is building strength in Europe with attendees expected to exceed 1,500. Augmented World Expo Press Conference Roster Confirmed

The Augmented World Expo (AWE) 2017 will be taking place this week at the Santa Clara Convention Centre, California. A big part of the event is the Thursday press conference, where several companies have chosen to make major announcements regarding virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). AWE 2017 organisers have now revealed the roster.

The press conference for this year has had many companies who are keen to make major announcements during the event. As such, the organisers of AWE 2017 struggled somewhat to fit all the company speakers into the hour-long slot. The event organisers say that attendees of the event should expect a rapid-fire delivery of several important announcements coming from some of the biggest names in the industry.

A full roster of companies who are set to participate in the press conference has been released and goes as follows:

There will also be the AWE Playground, where several VR and AR experiences will be set up for attendees to explore.

AWE 2017 to Feature 300+ Speakers Including Microsoft, NVIDIA, Oculus, Samsung & Sony

The Augmented World Expo (AWE), one of the largest conferences dedicated to augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), will be opening its doors for the eighth year later this month. For 2017 over 300 speakers have been lined up for keynotes and discussion panels on the future of AR and VR consumer and enterprise tech.

Keynotes will be given by “Shots of Awe” filmmaker, philosopher and futurist Jason Silva, “The Fourth Transformation” author and Transformative Group partner Robert Scoble, and game designer, author and Carnegie Mellon scholar Jesse Schell.
