VR For Wellbeing At The Transformative Technology Conference

As has been frequently covered here at VRFocus, virtual reality (VR) ad related immersive technologies can have a positive effect in many areas. There are numerous example, such as providing pain relief for burns patients, helping people cope with phobias or simply providing a place to relax and be calm. The upcoming Transformative Technology Conference, also known as TransTech, will be examining how VR can be used in positive ways.

The Transformative Technology Conference & Expo is devoted towards using technology for mental health and emotional wellbeing covering areas such as neuroscience, psychology, technology and entrepreneurship.

The 4th Annual TransTech Conference is set to take place in Palo Alto, California on 9th-10th November, 2018, where a combination of keynotes, panels and demonstrations will be available for attendees.

One of the main speakers will be Philip Rosedale, Inventor and Founder of High Fidelity & Second Life who will be speaking alongside Nenea Reeves, CEO & Co-Founder of TRIPP, Inc who will be addressing attendees on the topic of ‘Restitch the Social Fabric of Connection and Building Mood-Altering Virtual Reality Experiences’.

Others speakers at the event include Dr. Ben Goertzel of Singularity.Net who will be speaking about Distributed AI and Blockchain, Dr. Bruce Damer, Associate Researcher at University of California Santa Cruz, who will be covering Biomolecular Engineering and Dan Fagella, CEO & Founder,of TechEmergence who will be talking about Dynamic Artificial Intelligence & Human Wellbeing

Other break-out discussions, workshops and demonstrations of new technology from around the world are also planned. The organisers are encouraging entrepreneurs, investors, engineers, and innovators from all technology sectors to all get involved in TransTech.
