Battle X: Birth of the Alliance, the virtual reality (VR) first-person shooter (FPS) title from developer Naviworks has released on Steam, bringing its realistic and immersive combat to players around the world. Offering players an intense boots-on-the-ground experience, Battle X: Birth of the Alliance comes packed with a single player story and fast-paced online multiplayer that is sure to provide an adrenaline rush.
The single-player campaign in this title features a compelling story written by award-winning writer Susan O’Connor, known for their work on BioShock, Tomb Raider, Far Cry 2 and Gear of War. Players will join up with an elite team of special forces soldiers as they head out on a mission to stop a rogue biotech scientist from enslaving the planet with a dangerous pathogen. The story is made even more impressive thanks to the voice over talent of action film legend Casper Van Dien of Starship Troopers.
If you want a more competitive experience then Battle X: Birth of the Alliance offers an eight-versus-eight multiplayer mode that will require both quick reflexes and teamwork. There is even a co-op mode where players can work together and fight against a mutant army to really put their skills to the test. Battle X: Birth of the Alliance is available now on Steam for £15.49 (GBP) and supports both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. The title will be getting PlayStation VR support in the future but don’t expect this until early 2019.
