Newly Released Rebound VR Combines Racquetball And Breakout

Have you ever wanted to play a round of racquetball with elements of breakout-style gameplay mixed in? If so, then you are in luck as a new virtual reality (VR) videogame has released offering just that experience. Rebound VR from developer Rotech Digital offers players a chance to immerse themselves in a Tron like environment where the aim is to score as many points as possible by breaking the blocks and keeping a rally going.

Rebound VR

The title comes packed with 42 levels across nine different arenas which will see players working up a sweat as they keep that rally going to gain the points they need. On top of that, each level is played against the clock and with limited lives meaning every move counts. As you keep the ball in the arena you’ll also need to try and break the many blocks that are placed throughout. These will earn extra points but also change the path of the ball so make sure to keep your eye on the ball.

To mix up the experience even further there are a number of different power-ups which will see the gameplay change in a number of ways. For example, the Tractor Beam power-up will pull the ball towards you or give it a nudge in the right direction. There are even extending bats to help you hit the ball outside of your chaperone area and keep the action flowing fast. This is also helpful as the title can be enjoyed in seated, standing and room-scale set ups.

Rebound VR

Rebound VR will test your reactions and coordination as you play through the numerous levels of the title. With four difficulty levels to experience as well, the title offers players countless hours of enjoyment which are sure to not only entertain but offer a chance to get a work out as well.

Rebound VR is available now on Steam for £4.79 (GBP) with a launch discount of 15% until September 20th, 2018. The title supports the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift at launch and will require tracked motion controllers in order to play as well. VRFocus will be sure to bring you all the latest on the title and from developer Rotech Digital in the future, so stay tuned for more.
