Flotilla 2 Brings Grand Tactical Space Battles To VR

In space there is no up or down and the same is true within Flotilla 2, a virtual reality (VR) tactical videogame about big battleships in outer space fighting for victory. Take on the role of a command and move around the battlefield to lead your fleet into battle and destroy the enemy fleet who awaits you on the other side.

Flotilla 2

Flotilla 2 gives players a number of different ships within their fleet to then take into the turn-based and strategic battles. You’ll need to outmaneuver and flank your opponent from all angles in order to ensure a victory. Make use of your cannons, particle rays, tractor beams, and plenty of other weapons to rip through the enemy fleet. Thanks to the freedom of space and VR, players are able to move around the battlefield and view the two fleets from any angle and witness the choas unfold before them.

Featuring a campaign of 100 hand-crafted levels filled with plenty of deadly mines, gravity wells, cosmic horrors and plenty of other dangers that will need to be avoided and navigated in order to gain the best firing position. View the battlefield, review your fleet, issue your orders and lead your ships to victory. Of course, the enemy will make sure to put up a fight so do expect a challenge as you progress through the campaign.

If that is not enough, Flotilla 2 features a built-in level editor that allows players to create their own scenarios to then upload and share them with friends and others on the Steam Workshop. Mod-friendly design also means that the title allows users a chance to make their own content such as ships, weapons, art and much more to then once again share with others on the Steam Workshop.

Flotilla 2 is available to purchase now on Steam for a launch discount price of £6.47 (GBP) for a few days when the price will go back up to the regular £7.19. The title supports both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, along with non-VR play.
