Gamescom 2018 has only just begun, but big news has already emerged from Cologne, Germany with the announcement of the latest line of consumer-grade graphics cards, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20 series. PC manufacturers Psychsoftpc are taking advantage of this announcement to reveal plans to upgrade its available PCs with the new cards.
The new GPUs offers a number of advantages over existing cards, primarily with the introduction of the capability for real-time ray tracing. This technology allows for lifelike lighting, reflections and shadows.
Psychsoftpc will be incorporating these cards into its line of Psyborg Extreme Gaming PCs as soon as the new GPUs are available. These PCs offer the Intel Core X series of CPU, which combines with the Geforce RTX 20 series of GPU to allow for great performance for virtual reality (VR), photo and video editing, live streaming or videogames.
The company is billed as an ‘Artisanal computer company’. All its machines are hand-built, and use a ‘just-in-time philosophy. Psychsoftpc say they aim to constantly evolve their machines in tune to the latest updates and trends in technology. Since the PCs are not pre-built they can rapidly change in response to new developments.
The company had previously offered a series of VR-ready gaming computers featuring the 8th Gen Intel Core processor, the Core i7 CPU, along with the Z370 chipset motherboards and support for Optane memory.
Psychsoftpc says on its official website: “Want to develop for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, OSVR Virtual Reality or Hololens Augmented Reality? Or want to use Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and OSVR gear for virtual reality gaming? You need a great VR ready gaming computer like our Psyborg Virtual Reality Ready Extreme Gaming Computer to run all the games. Of course all of our gaming PCs come with a gaming computer video card like the NVidia Geforce GTX gaming computer video card and not just a graphics chip on the motherboard. Gaming computers need a discrete gaming computer video card to fully handle all those high end real time graphics, 3D Rendering and Virtual Reality. We’ve got you covered.”
