The upcoming virtual reality (VR) re-release of the classic PlayStation 2 title, Gungrave VR, has revealed a number of new screenshots that showcase the action packed title. Originally released back in 2002 the title has been sleeping every since. That is until now that XSEED and Marvelous Entertainment are bringing the title to the West and giving some new life to the beloved title.
Gungrave VR was released back in 2017 in the Eastern market by Korean publisher Blueside and developer IGGYMOB. The new releases captures the unique art style and gameplay that had the PlayStation 2 release so well praised and bring it into the current generation of gaming. The new screenshots, which you can see below, follow on from the recently released trailer that dropped during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018.
In Gungrave VR, players take control of the powerful Grave who has been sleeping for sometime. Set in a world were a nefarious drug called SEED has caused all sorts of trouble, but thankfully now almost been taken care off. Players will team up with Mika Asagi to take down the last of this horrible drug and defeat the criminal organizations that are still dealing it. This leads to South City and a horde of horrible monsters and enemies to take care of.
The title will feature both third-person, free-moving sections in which players will need to make use of every weapons and ability made available to them in order to survive. With plenty of enemies to beat up and shoot along with touch-as-nails bosses to defeat, it is going to be a challenge. There are also stationary first-person sections, which are made more enjoyable thanks to PlayStation VR, which give players the feeling of playing a classic arcade shooter title.
In the new screenshots fans will be able to see the title in all its glory, featuring a number of action filled scene with a number of different enemies shown off as well. Fans of the original title are sure to find a lot to look forward to with this new version and those jumping in for the first time will find plenty to like.
