Jupiter & Mars Looks Stunning In New E3 2018 Screenshots

Shortly after videogame studio Tigertron released a new trailer for the upcoming virtual reality (VR) title Jupiter & Mars, set to release on PlayStation VR later this year. A number of new screenshots have been revealed showing off more of the underwater, neon filled title in all it’s beauty.

If you are unfamiliar with Jupiter & Mars, the title is a new PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR videogame where players take on the role of dolphins Jupiter and her companion, Mars, as they explore five distinct biomes. These including tropical islands and sunken underwater cities. Thanks to the help of a group of ancient whales called The Elders, Jupiter and Mars navigate the future Earth in which mankind has disappeared, forcing the dolphins to confront and solve the after-effects of man’s industrial legacy.Jupiter and Mars - Title

The new screenshots show some of the locations that players will encounter during their time with Jupiter & Mars. The title is said to be an audio and visual feast for the senses, aiming to entertain players with its story and message of eco-friendliness. Players will need to make use their enhanced echolocation abilities in order to see within the murkiest of waters and bring visual clarity to the world.

Jupiter & Mars is being developed in partnership with ocean conservation organisations SeaLegacy and The Ocean Foundation who are providing exclusive content to the development team to create a rich and realistic underwater environment, offering a more immersive experience to the players.

Talking about the recently release trailer, Tigertron’s Creative Director James Mielke said: “For a trailer that debuted during Sony’s E3 press conference and simultaneously shown on movie screens across the country as a part of Sony’s E3 Experience, we wanted to do something a bit different and more provocative, using a piece from of our composer Jonathan Atkinson’s original score as the backdrop, we brought the game’s story and setting to the forefront. Observant viewers may even get a hint of the setting of the final level in the game.”
