Trover Saves the Universe Announced For PlayStationVR

During their Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018 conference, Sony revealed a new virtual reality (VR) title for PlayStation VR being developed by Squanch Games. The new title, dubbed Trover Saves the Universe will once again give players a chance to experience the crass and outrageous sense of humor of Justin Roiland.

Trover Saves the Universe

The trailer that was shown off for the title points towards it being an action platformer title of sorts, with a colourful design running throughout. Alongside that was the usual humor that players have come to experience from Squanch Games and Justin Roiland. Writing on the website for Trover Saves the Universe, the story is described as: “Your dogs have been dognapped by a beaked lunatic who stuffed them into his eye holes and is using their life essence to destroy the Universe. Does that make sense?”

Squanch Games also worked on the equally crazy title Accounting+ which also released on PlayStation VR following a release on the HTC Vive, and was met with positive praise for its mix of humor and gameplay. This time around it seems that the developer are going for a more traditional gaming experience in the sense of a linear design rather than a number of experiences. The trailer also features a character playing videogames in the bathtub which, as you might expected, did not end to well.
Trover Saves the Universe

Trover Saves the Universe is currently in development for PlayStation VR with a non-VR version noted as well. At this point there is not much in the way of details available for the title but given the work of Justin Roiland and Squanch Games, players can be sure to look forward to a number of memorable moments that will bring with them plenty of laughs throughout. With the story of saving your dogs from being dognapped, there will surely be some interesting gameplay features found within.
