SACRALITH: The Archer’s Tale now Confirmed for May Launch

September 2017 saw indie developer Odd Meter announce a virtual reality (VR) title for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive called  SACRALITH: The Archer’s Tale. Initially scheduled for launch in December the release was delayed for an unrevealed reason. Now the team has confirmed a new date, 17th May, 2018.

Set in a Medieval world of magic and dragons, in SACRALITH: The Archer’s Tale you play an archer in search of a magical stone capable of taming ancient dragons. Armed with your bow you need to take down hordes of enemies including swordsmen, knights, and ordinary bandits.

You’re not alone in your quest as you’ll have allies fighting in melee combat which will need protection along the way. So  SACRALITH: The Archer’s Tale uses a point to point teleportation system where each level consists of different locations with special firing spots. You’ll be able to move swiftly along these spots, choosing the right one to view battles and the right angle for each attack, protecting your companions and defeating the enemy.

Few other details have been released about SACRALITH: The Archer’s Tale, yet as a bow focused first-person shooter (FPS) its got some stiff competition on VR headsets. While there are plenty of VR experiences with a bow mechanic, titles such as Fast Travel Games’ five-star rated Apex Construct and Solfar Studios’ Early Access experience In Death both showcase some of the best bow mechanics around.

As the launch nears and Odd Meter reveal further information, VRFocus will keep you updated on SACRALITH: The Archer’s Tale.
