Hollywood 360 is a new Virtual Reality Talk Show

Hollywood 360 has been revealed as the first-of-its-kind style of unscripted reality talk show, that will be available to watch in virtual reality (VR).

The product is the result of a partnership between the VR and augmented reality (AR) creative group Blur Limit and the entertainment experience company LUCI. As 500,000 people take part in the South By South West (SXSW) festival, Blur Limit and LUCI are busy recording interviews with the likes of Justin HartleyMilo Ventimiglia, and Mandy Moore for the second season finale of America’s #1 Drama “This Is Us”. There will also be recordings of hangouts with Tracy Morgan and Tiffany Haddish for their new TBS series, “The Last O.G”.

Hollywood 360 will also be covering the music side of SXSW with 360-degree video of a wild mosh pit experience with Andrew W.K. and an acoustic set to wrap up things with up and coming artist Morgxn at the Stubhub stage. Hollywood 360 is aimed at bringing viewers closer to the experience and enhancing the emotional connections to content through the use of VR technology.

Hollywood 360 launched at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival with LUC, the Silicon Valley based entertainment experience company and distribution partners iQiyi and Weibo recording a number of 3D immersive videos. Celebrities such as Jim Parsons (“The Big Bang Theory”), Peter Dinklage(“Game of Thrones”), Jake Gyllenhaal (“Nightcrawler”), Nicolas Cage (“Mandy”), Claire Danes (“Homeland”) and many more will all be features on the show. As Blur Limited produce their content in 8K stereoscopic live-action video for a full 360-degree experience, viewers are able to transport themselves onto the red carpets of movie premieres, award shows and celebrity hangouts in a totally immersive perspective.

Blur Limit was formed by the international team of Azel JamesRob CosnahanJohn Trozak and Chip Li. As the creator of China’s number one entertainment show “This Week in Hollywood,” Azel James is known for work in branded content with clients such as Coca Cola and Red Bull. He is also the first to bring coverage of the Golden Globes, Emmys and American Music Awards live to China for the first time. Now, with the partnership between Blur Limit and LUCI, viewers can look forward to even more immsersive coverage of their favorite shows and celebrities in Hollywood 360.
