Hatrabbit Entertainment have announced a new update to their virtual reality (VR) snowball throwing title, Merry Snowballs.
The new update, titled Woodlands, adds a new area to the title which sees players taking the snowball fight out of the neighborhood and into the wild. In this new location, the fight turns up to a new level as players will need to adventure through the dangerous forest trail and avoid all the hazards along the way. This includes nasty kids trying to stop you with an endless amount of snowballs, angry gingerbread men and even the odd elf or two. The Woodlands will see players fighting on the ground up to the tree tops along bridges and into the deepest part of the woods.
Merry Snowballs was original released back in 2016 for via Steam for HTC Vive with support for the Oculus Rift. A few months back it was then updated and released for free on Google Daydream, Samsung Gear VR and Google Cardboard. The new update is somewhat of a surprise release from developer Hatrabbit Entertainment but is a welcome one for sure. Talking about Merry Snowballs back in November of 2017, Andreas Chryssovitsanos, co-founder of Hatrabbit said: “Merry Snowballs is a game for the whole family and we are releasing it for free so more people can experience high quality games. We are also working together with partners like Omnivirt and Advrty in order to explore in-game advertising in VR”.
Designed as a fun title for anyone to jump in and enjoy, reliving the childhood memories of snowball fights. Merry Snowballs allows players to do just that but with the added bonus of having a number of cool gadgets and powerups available to make the experience just that little bit more exciting. With a colorful design and plenty of moments that are sure to make any member of the family smile, the new Woodlands update for Merry Snowballs will give players a reason to jump back in and enjoy the thrill of the snowball fight.
