Arizona Sunshine’s Horde Mode Expands With Two Free Maps for PlayStation VR

Fans of Arizona Sunshine for PlayStation VR will be pleased to know that Vertigo Games and Jaywalkers Interactive have now released their long awaited DLC for the zombie shooter, bringing with it two new maps for Horde Mode.

Arizona Sunshine’s Horde Mode is essentially zombie survival, where you team up with other players to survive wave after wave of attacks. To make things a little more interesting each of the maps has its own play style and challenges.

Arizona Sunshine old mine

Old Mine puts you in the dark, underground labyrinth from the campaign, where you start out with only one flashlight and must think tactically to both defend the hideout whilst taking chances on vital supply runs in an almost pitch black map, which is designed to encourage team play, although it can be played solo.

The second map is Undead Valley, set in an old, zombie-infested warehouse-turned-underground casino, close to Las Vegas. In this map players stay ahead of the horde by gradually expanding their play area, unlocking new areas both in- and outdoors, by blowing up obstacles with grenades or opening doors with keys found throughout the level and finding new weapons, ammo and tactical positions as they go. This map will also see the familiar zombie waves replaced with an intense, ongoing influx of zombies for the ultimate survival challenge.

The update is completely free to everyone who owns a copy of Arizona Sunshine for PlayStation VR and wants more playable maps for up to 4 players in co-op multiplayer.

Arizona Sunshine originally launched for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive back in December 2016, as one of the launch titles for Oculus Touch. Since then, not only has it been ported to PlayStation VR but also Microsoft’s Windows Mixed Reality  headsets and can currently be found on Steam for £20.99 GBP, saving 30 percent off in the Autumn sale.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of Arizona Sunshine, reporting back with the latest announcements.
