Life In 360° – “All For Our Country”

We’re back off to America for today’s Life In 360° – where we’ve news of an item on the road that you can experience courtesy of the Nevada Division of Tourism (TravelNevada). Which at the beginning of the month began a tour of event spaces throughout Los Angeles, San Franscisco and San Diego.

Called Don’t Fence Me In in reference to Nevada’s own attitude to its open spaces, it features 360 degree video in an “experiential disruptive instillation”. Attendees are able to enter a saloon-like area before putting on a themed virtual reality (VR) headset in order to experience a virtual road trip throughout Nevada and follows a group as they climb, kayak and drive through the state from Lake Mead to Sand Mountain and from Virginia City to Lake Tahoe.

Those who take part will also have the opportunity to win one of seven getaways to the locations shown in the video.

“California is one of Nevada’s main drive and fly markets, so we want to bring residents an unmatched Nevada experience, knowing the virtual scenery will be a complete contrast to their current physical surroundings,” Explained the Director of the Nevada Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Claudia Vecchio. “We want to unleash people’s adventure mindset by transporting them from a bustling city with crowds of people to wide-open spaces and the most breath-taking landscapes in the country.”

The tour is now set in San Diego for its remaining dates. Visitors can find the experience at the Kaaboo Del Mar Music/Arts Festival from September 15th to 17th 2017 and from Gaslamp Square Plaza (Fifth Avenue and L Street) from the 19th to the 21st of September 2017.
