More Footage of Kowloon’s Gate VR: Suzaku Emerges

The sequel to adventure title Kowloon’s Gate was successfully crowdfunded using Japan’s Cap-fire.jp crowdfunding website. The virtual reality (VR) sequel is being made by the same team that created the original for the PlayStation back in 1997, and now some more footage of what it will look like has been released.

The story of the original title concerned the story of how the demolished and long-gone Kowloon Walled City suddenly and mysteriously re-appeared, so the players had to unravel the meaning of this event and repair the unbalanced yin and yang which had caused the event to occur. The sequel also features the Walled City, though exactly how the story from the sequel relates to the original has not yet been revealed.

In fact, few details have been released about Kowloon’s Gate VR: Suzaku so far, though the release is expected on the PlayStation Store in Japan later this summer. It is known that players will be able to explore the mysterious walled city, with stereoscopic sound and the immersiveness expected from a PlayStation VR title.

Footage of Kowloon Front and Lung Shing Road have been released on Youtube by the developers at Jetman, and you can view the videos showing some of the environments of Kowloon’s Gate VR: Suzaku below.

There is no current word on an exact release date, or if the title will be released in the West. Nor is there any indication on what the final price point will be.

VRFocus will bring you further news on Kowloon’s Gate VR: Suzaku as it becomes available.
