Fusion Wars Launched Closed Beta For Multiplayer Arenas

Though Fusion Wars has been playable on Samsung Gear VR for a while now, the title has been considered to be in ‘Early Access’ form, with many features not yet implemented. The biggest missing feature being the much-anticipated multiplayer competitive mode. Developer EstudioFuture have now announced that the multiplayer PvP Arenas will be entered closed Beta for Oculus Rift from today.

From Friday 23rd of June, 2017, Oculus Rift users will have the opportunity to pre-register for the closed Beta, which will run for one week. Players will be able to sign up via the official Fusion Wars website, with registrations closing on Sunday 2nd July, 2017.

The multiplayer competitive mode will have a large battle arena where up to eight players can fight co-operatively in two teams. The core battle mode requires teams to attempt to take control of the Fusion Core and protect it for as long as possible in ‘Capture the flag’ style. It’s not only enemy players that teams need to worry about, however, as AI controlled enemies will also spawn, which players can fight to take control of so they have AI-controlled minions.

Those who register for the Closed Beta will be among the first to experience the improved version of Fusion Wars, which has been tweaked and optimised for its upcoming official Oculus Rift release. The developers say that the final release version will contain additional new features such as new levels for the campaign mode along with other new content.

The Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR final release version is planned to be launched after the completion of the close Beta. EstudioFuture is also working on versions of the title for HTC Vive and PlayStation VR, in addition to a non-VR version for Steam users, which will allow for cross-play among some of the platforms.
