UK-based distributor and supply chain company Westcoast Retail have announced an exclusive partnership with HTC that includes the rights to distribute and provide services for the HTC Vive across all of Europe.
Westcoast Retail have previously worked at providing supply chain, distribution and merchandising services for tech companies such as Apple, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and Samsung. The partnership will mark the first time that Westcoast Retail have entered the virtual reality (VR) sector. With the new partnership, Westcoast Retail will become responsible for fulfilling orders from HTC’s own website, along with orders placed via specialist websites such as Scan and Overclockers.
HTC Operations Director, Louis Lin, commented: “Entering the VR market is an important strategic step for us so we needed a partner with the reputation and team that can deliver a robust approach to the supply chain. Westcoast Retail is a true specialist in the field with the ability to help us fulfil the varying needs of HTC Vive customers and retailers throughout Europe.”

The company is hoping that the addition of HTC with strengthen Westcoast Retail’s reputation as one of Europe’s leading distributors.
