The Augmented World Expo (AWE) 2017 will be taking place this week at the Santa Clara Convention Centre, California. A big part of the event is the Thursday press conference, where several companies have chosen to make major announcements regarding virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). AWE 2017 organisers have now revealed the roster.
The press conference for this year has had many companies who are keen to make major announcements during the event. As such, the organisers of AWE 2017 struggled somewhat to fit all the company speakers into the hour-long slot. The event organisers say that attendees of the event should expect a rapid-fire delivery of several important announcements coming from some of the biggest names in the industry.
A full roster of companies who are set to participate in the press conference has been released and goes as follows:
Digibit
Epson
Kopin
Manomotion
Massless
Meta
Miralupa
Optinvent
Re’Flekt
Resonai
Shadow Creator
Sony
Tractica
Wikitude/Lenovo
Zappar
Of course there will be much more going on at the Augmented World Expo, including features keynote speeches from the likes of Microsoft’s Lorraine Bardeen, Jesse Schell of Schell Games, Rikard Steiber of HTC Vive and Achin Bhowmik from Intel. There will also be a range of workshops and roundtable discussions taking place during the event. There will also be the AWE Playground, where several VR and AR experiences will be set up for attendees to explore.
The Augmented World Expo is due to take place from 31st May – 2nd June 2017 in Santa Clara, California. Further information and tickets can be found at the official AWE 2017 website.
