Sony Release TV Trailer for PlayStation VR and Farpoint, More Retail Stock Now Available

There’s only a couple of weeks to go until Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE’s) next major release for PlayStation VR arrives, Farpoint. Prior to launch on 16th May, SIE has today revealed a new TV trailer promoting the title alongside the confirmation of more retail stock for US consumers.

Via the US PlayStation.blog, the company has showcased a preview of the trailer set to air later this week as part of its ‘Two Worlds’ campaign. Starting with a bloke putting on a PlayStation VR in his basement he then finds himself transported to an uncharted alien world filled with all manner of enemies.

There’s even better news for US customers eager to get their hands on the head-mounted display (HMD). The hard to find device is now becoming more widely available as SIE catch up on replenishing retail stock. In a statement the company said: “PlayStation VR has been in high demand since launch, and we have heard from many of you that it has been a bit tricky to find on store shelves. We’ve been working to meet demand and are happy to report that PS VR is back in stock at many retailers in the US and Canada.”

And while there’s some time to kill in between PlayStation VR has plenty of other titles available, including the well received Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Statik, DiRT Rally, Psychonauts: The Rhombus of Ruin, EVE: Valkyrie and many more. Then towards the end of this month there’s Star Trek: Bridge Crew, and Gran Turismo Sport later in the year.
