VR Cover, a manufacturer of hygiene products for virtual reality (VR) devices, have just announced a new product designed specifically for the PlayStation VR (PSVR). It will be the first PSVR product the manufacturer has released.
The PSVR is generally already seen as one of the most comfortable head mounted display (HMD) units due to its rubberised material, VR Cover have noted it’s tendency to collect sweat and moisture. They say that their mission is; “To improve the VR experience by offering hardware solutions, specifically targeting the hygiene and comfort issues that plague virtual reality headsets.”
With this in mind, VR Cover have produced a machine-washable hygienic pad that goes over the rubberised forehead section to improve comfort and collect moisture. VR Cover say this ensures that you no longer need to keep a box of antibacterial wipes on hand when you invite friends around to play.
VR Cover have already released products for HTC Vive, Oculus and Gear VR. Their expansion into PSVR comes just as the PlayStation VR is expected to pass the 1 million units sold mark. For further information on PlayStation VR products stay tuned to VRFocus.
