PEGI Rating Reveals European Release for Cyber Dangonronpa VR: Class Trial

Originally revealed back in July 2015, Cyber Danganronpa VR: Class Trial was showcased as a PlayStation VR exclusive technical demonstration at the Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong 2015 event. Late last year the videogame was confirmed for release in Japan, and now it appears Cyber Danganronpa VR: Class Trial will also be making its way to Europe.

A new listing on the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) website, the institution responsible for age classification of videogames across Europe, reveals that Cyber Danganronpa VR: Class Trial has been classified as suitable for gamers aged 12 years and over. It also offers a description of the videogame, as follows:

“The content of this game is suitable for persons aged 12 years and over only.It contains: Realistic looking violence towards non human looking characters – Violence causing minor injury only [sic]”

The listing on PEGI’s website suggests a release date of today, 1st February 2017. However, the PEGI website is notorious for listing incorrect release dates, so take that slice of information with a pinch of salt.

Set to be published by Spike Chunsoft Co., Ltd., Cyber Danganronpa VR: Class Trial takes fan-favourite scenes from the first two Danganronpa videogames, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and recreates them in virtual reality (VR) tasking players with uncovering the killer amongst a group of potential suspects.

No official statement regarding the European release of Cyber Danganronpa VR: Class Trial is currently available, however VRFocus will of course keep you updated with all the latest details on this PlayStation VR exclusive title.
