Toys Go to War in Toy Clash for Gear VR

If you’re a fan of tower defence video games South Korean studio 5minlab has just launched its take on the genre with Toy Clash for Samsung’s mobile headset, Gear VR.

A real-time strategy title, Toy Clash is a single-player experience involving (you guessed it) toys, waging war on a table top battlefield. Covering 32 levels, you have six toys to choose from alongside six magical spells to gain the upper hand.

The aim of the game is to destroy the opponents tower, wiping out the forces on route anyway you can. The toys can be upgraded to add more damage or increase health, with each one having their own certain attributes in combat.

Moon Park, CEO of 5minlab said in a statement: “We made Toy Clash to have the maximum possible graphic quality and manipulation in using Gear VR. The game is very intuitive and easy to play, but it’s also hard to master.”

Available to download now on the Oculus Store for $2.99 USD/£2.29 GBP, Toy Clash doesn’t require a separate Bluetooth controller.
