You can’t failed to have missed it but it’s Black Friday everywhere. Lots of limited time, day, weekend deals to tempt every man, woman and dog into a purchase. VRFocus has pretty much covered most of the virtual reality (VR) related deals going, but there are still more available. The latest is from Samsung, which has a range of products discounted on its store. There’s no discount on Gear VR but the Gear 360 camera does have a nice chunky discount on offer.
If you’ve been thinking about picking up Samsung’s dual lens, 360-degree camera, then for the first time this year its available with £100 GBP off the normal price. That drops it down from £349 to £249 for a significant saving. But it does seem that discount is country specific as looking at the US store the Gear 360 is still the standard price of $349.99 USD. And not only do UK customers get a discount, their order also includes free delivery.
The Gear 360 launched back in April in select countries, joining the growing ranks of consumer level 360-degree cameras. These include Insta360 Nano, Ricoh Theta S, 360fly, and more. Samsung’s model features two 15 megapixel cameras with F/2.0 fish-eye lenses that each capture 195 degree content, recorded in high resolution (3840×1920) as MP4’s. There’s video and photo modes as well as time lapse video and looping video options, all of which are automatically stitched by the device’s accompanying smartphone app. The device boasts a 1,350mAh Li-ion battery and can shoot up to seven hours of content using a 128GB microSD card.
VRFocus will continue its coverage of Gear 360, reporting back with any new updates.
