Frima Studio launched its debut virtual reality (VR) adventure game FATED: The Silent Oath on both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive head-mounted displays (HMDs) back in April. Today the studio has announced a price reduction across all formats including the a yet unreleased PlayStation VR version.
When FATED: The Silent Oath launched it was priced at £14.99 GBP/$19.99 USD on Oculus Home and Steam. With the new price drop gamers can pick the title up for £6.99/$9.99/€9.99 EUR on Steam, although the price on Oculus home is listed at £7.99. When it arrives on PlayStation Store the title should be £6.99.
“We listened to the feedback we got from the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive launches and felt that because FATED is a movie-length narrative-adventure this pricing accurately reflects that storytelling experience,” said Vincent Martel, Executive Producer at Frima Studio. “We are excited to be launching FATED for PlayStation VR and look forward to connecting with a whole new community of fans”.
Fated: The Silent Oath is a first-person adventure set in the mythical age of Vikings. The story revolves around a father and husband who must go on a quest to test his courage, and what he’s willing to sacrifice to save his family, and the world from the giants of legend that are returning.
VRFocus will continue its coverage of Frima Studios, reporting back any new announcements.
