CRANGA!: Harbor Frenzy: Achievements, Cheats, Tips & Tricks

Mixing classic board game Jenga with virtual reality (VR), HandMade Games launched CRANGA!: Harbor Frenzy in December 2016. Supporting Oculus Rift and its Touch controllers as well as HTC Vive and OSVR, the block moving videogame features 32 Steam Achievements to unlock, which VRFocus has the full rundown of below.

While Jenga requires the player to move wooden blocks without the tower crumbling, CRANGA!: Harbor Frenzy takes this idea supersizes it with the use of a crane and industrial storage containers. To add variety to the gameplay, HandMade Games has included containers that come in different shapes and sizes, and at times can be explosive or slippery.

CRANGA!: Harbour Frenzy Confirmed for Oculus Touch Launch

With Oculus Touch due for release in the next couple of weeks, developers have recently been confirming titles for launch day release. Just this week alone COLOPL Inc.’s Dig 4 Destruction, Fierce Kaiju’s Viral EX, I-Illusions’ Space Pirate Trainer and PlaySide VR’s Zombie Riot were all revealed for the motion controllers and now there’s one more. South Korean developer HandMade Game has now confirmed its puzzle title CRANGA!: Harbour Frenzy will arrive on 6th December.

Inspired by classic block moving game Jenga, CRANGA!: Harbour Frenzy involves players controlling a crane which has a bright yellow ball hanging from the far end. This ball is then used to manipulate the individual containers in the teetering stack, removing them as gently as possible. They’ll need to utilize the physical space to look around the tower to find the most appropriate block to remove so that the entire structure doesn’t collapse, but one wrong move can bring it all crashing down.

CRANGA!: Harbor Frenzy features Steven, a seagull, who guides players across the 16 levels, as well as leaderboards, and local multiplayer options.

The title isn’t just Oculus Touch compatible, it’ll still support Oculus Rift and the standard Xbox One controller on Oculus Store. CRANGA!: Harbor Frenzy will also support HTC Vive and OSVR when it arrives on Steam on the same day.

New CRANGA!: Harbor Frenzy Official Website and Gameplay Footage Released

Classic block moving game Jenga is popular the world over and back in June South Korean developer HandMade Game, the team behind virtual reality (VR) title Rooms: The Unsolvable Puzzle announced its own VR take on the game. Now the studio has released a dedicated website for CRANGA!: Harbor Frenzy alongside a brand new gameplay trailer.

CRANGA!: Harbor Frenzy takes the wooden block moving game and gives it an industrial, immersive VR twist by putting players in a harbour with giant freight containers replacing the small blocks.

CRANGA!: Harbour Frenzy requires players to look around the tower to find the most appropriate block to remove so that the entire structure doesn’t collapse, but one wrong move can bring it all crashing down.

To add to the difficulty CRANGA!: Harbour Frenzy will also feature containers that  come in different shapes and sizes, and at times can be explosive or slippery. The containers are also colour coded as CRANGA!: Harbour Frenzy will suggest a certain colour to remove next, so players have to be careful which ones they choose.

HandMade Game will be launching CRANGA!: Harbour Frenzy on Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE) PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD). The final version will include single-player and multiplayer modes where players can play and compete with others in various challenges.
