Competition: Win Wolf Attack on Steam

Wolf Attack

Earlier this month indie team TomatoVR released its fifth virtual reality (VR), Wolf Attack, a wave shooter inspired by the Three Little Pigs nursery rhyme. Supporting PC VR headsets, this weekend VRFocus has got a bunch of Wolf Attack codes for our readers to win.

Wolf Attack

In Wolf Attack you play one of those three little pigs, trying to protect your home from those damn beasts. Featuring solo and multiplayer modes, in single-player it’s just you trying to protect the village using either shotguns or a bow and arrow. There are four waves to complete and you can heal yourself if needed, pretty simple stuff.

The multiplayer component is going to provide greater longevity by offering online PvP. You’re not directly fighting each other, instead, after choosing from one of six characters you’re both placed in fixed positions on the battlefield. Kill the most enemies to come out victorious.

Wolf Attack

So onto the competition. VRFocus has Steam codes for Wolf Attack to giveaway. There are multiple ways to enter the giveaway with the standard prize draw entry rules applying: Follow us (or already be following us) on Twitter (@VRFocus) or alternatively, visit our Facebook page or YouTube channel to get an entry for each. The competition will be open until 11.59 pm BST on Thursday, 27th September 2021. The draw will be made shortly thereafter. Best of luck.

Competition: Win a Physical Copy of Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series for PSVR

Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series - PSVR

If you love virtual reality (VR) gaming and Star Wars then ILMxLAB’s Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is a must, especially as it’s considered canon. Originally released episodically for Oculus Quest in 2019 with support landing for PlayStation VR the following year. A few months ago Sony’s headset got a physical retail edition and that’s exactly what VRFocus is giving away in our latest competition.

Vader Immortal

Set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is a three-part interactive experience putting you in the shoes of a mysterious smuggler. Captured by the infamous Darth Vader and imprisoned in his base on the volcanic world of Mustafar, it soon becomes apparent that you have latent Force powers so Vader takes you under his wing.

This sets up a story delving deep into the history of the planet and Vader’s real reason for enlisting your help, to help him find an ancient and powerful artefact. Along the way, you’ll learn how to use those powers as well as honing those lightsaber skills. Each episode also features a Lightsaber Dojo, where you can test your lightsaber skills and force powers against waves of enemies.

Reviewing the Oculus Quest version of Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR SeriesVRFocus said: “If you’re a Star Wars fan then Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is a must, for everyone else, there’s still fun to be had.”

Competition: Win Rezzil Player 22 for Oculus Quest

Rezzil Player 22

There’s a strong selection of virtual reality (VR) titles arriving this week across multiple platforms. Today, Rezzil Player 22 has launched for Oculus Quest and if you’re into your football then it’s worth a look. To celebrate the launch VRFocus has been given a bunch of codes to giveaway, so you could improve your football skills for free!

Rezzil Player 22

Rezzil Player 22‘s core gameplay focuses on coordination and mastering the tricky art of heading balls into the back of the net. In the Training mode, “Control” is all about precision, heading balls back into a selection of rings, the difficulty ramping up as the rings get smaller and when colour matching is introduced. The “Shooting” drill sticks you in front of an actual goal where you have to beat both defends and the keeper whilst aiming for particular areas of the goal.

It isn’t all football though. Rezzil Player 22 offers a selection of more fitness-oriented mini-games like Reaction Wall and Hoops Vision. The former is a wall of lights that you have to hit as quickly as possible, hopefully improving your reaction times. Hoops Vision is a basketball-themed rhythm action experience with five songs to complete.

Rounding out the content lineup is a mini-game called Bloks and some official customisation options. Bloks is a bat and ball game all about destroying as many block towers as possible. And because developer REZZIL creates a pro training app for football clubs you’ll find official Adidas kits available, so you can switch up your gloves, football and even the stadium designs.

So onto the competition. VRFocus has several Oculus Quest codes for Rezzil Player 22 to giveaway. There are multiple ways to enter the giveaway with the standard prize draw entry rules applying: Follow us (or already be following us) on Twitter (@VRFocus) or alternatively, visit our Facebook page or YouTube channel to get an entry for each. Competition: Win A Township Tale for Oculus Quest

A Township Tale

When it comes to the sheer amount of content available, being able to sink hours and hours into a videogame, Alta’s recent release of A Township Tale for Oculus Quest is hard to beat. It’s all about building and exploring your own world with friends and this weekend VRFocus is giving you a chance to win a copy for yourself.

A Township Tale

A Township Tale gives you your own virtual server where you and up to seven others can team up, master professions and then go on adventures together. You can choose to become a blacksmith, woodcutter, miner, archer or warrior, each vital to the ecosystem as you recover crafting materials to make new equipment and improve your gear.

You can try by yourself but there’s so much to do and explore that bringing a few friends along for the ride makes it a whole lot easier. From chopping wood, mining the caves or cooking up new recipes, there’s plenty to learn, all of which require vital resources, some of which are in dangerous locations. And it’s all highly interactive, whether you’re lighting a fire or making a backpack, there’s no automation here.

In VRFocus’ first impression of this massive videogame: “It’s an impressive achievement getting this massive open-world to work on Oculus Quest considering its hardware limitations. There are no loading sequences that I could find, run into a fort or go explore some dark and dingy caves and it’s all smooth and effortless, making A Township Tale truly feel immersive.”

Competition: Win DragonRide VR on Steam

DragonRideVR

Fantasy worlds aren’t complete without a dragon or two but they quite often tend to be aggressive, serving as boss encounters or the loyal carrier of the main villain. Getting to jump on the back of one of these winged beasts is a rare treat and that’s all DragonRideVR cares about. Today, VRFocus and developer TypeEh Studios are offering you a chance to win a SteamVR code for this action-filled title.

DragonRideVR

TypeEh Studios launched DragonRideVR last year for PC VR headsets with a range of modes and since then has added a few more to flesh out the experience. Currently, there are seven modes to explore all set across six sprawling environments.

  • Dragon Ride – Essentially a dragon rollercoaster, enjoy a pre-set ride on a dragon selecting between flying, walking, swimming, and underwater diving modes.
  • Rhythm Ride – This is the very latest mode only introduced in May. Combining dragon riding and rhythm action gameplay, slice your way through 25 handcrafted songs each with 5 difficulty levels.
  • Target Shooting – Exactly as you’d expect, shoot targets and balloons whilst your dragon flys around a course. Choose between Laps or Time Challenge modes.
  • Egg Hunt – A timed mode where you have to find lost dragon eggs.
  • Balloon Hunt – Pop as many balloons as you can.
  • Panoramic Views – No action, just enjoy the environments and chill out.
  • Freefly – Now we’re talking! Take control of a dragon and explore all the environments at your leisure, dragon riding at its purest.

So there’s a fair amount to keep you busy and if you enter the competition below you’ll be in with a chance to play it all for free!

Competition: Win a Copy of Demeo

Demeo

Last week Resolution Games released its latest virtual reality (VR) title, the turn-based dungeon crawler Demeo for Oculus Quest and SteamVR headsets. Receiving stellar reviews from VRFocus and other publications Demeo has become the biggest VR launch of May so far and if you’ve not bought it yet then you’ll definitely want to enter our competition.

Demeo

Love a bit of Dungeons & Dragons on a Sunday night or board game sessions featuring fantasy realms, stat cards and some ancient lore? Then Demeo is going to be for you, just in VR of course. Up to four players can team up and head into a three-level dungeon to fight monsters, collect gold and unlock character customisation options. They can either step into the role of an eagle-eyed hunter who loves her bow, a mystical sorcerer who can summon area-of-effect (AOE) spells, a sneaky deadly assassin or a protective knight with loads of armour.

While Demeo is geared around its multiplayer Resolution Games has ensured you can dive in solo as well with a Skirmish Mode. Here you can control three characters through the dungeon, useful if you want to learn each of their skill sets. Each run-through, either in single or multiplayer, is completely randomized so you never know who could be behind each door.

Reviewing the Oculus Quest version of Demeo at launch VRFocus said: “Demeo continues Resolution Games’ run of well-crafted VR titles, moving away from the frantic gameplay of Cook-Out: A Sandwich Tale and Blaston into a far more laidback experience. Its slower style isn’t for everyone yet as an example of D&D in VR, Demeo excels.”

Demeo

So onto the competition. VRFocus has Oculus Quest and Steam codes for Demeo to giveaway. There are multiple ways to enter the giveaway with the standard prize draw entry rules applying: Follow us (or already be following us) on Twitter (@VRFocus) or alternatively, visit our Facebook page or YouTube channel to get an entry for each. The competition will be open until 11.59 pm BST on Monday 17th May 2021. The draw will be made shortly thereafter, winners will be contacted for their preferred platform. Best of luck.

Competition: Win Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister for Oculus Quest

Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister

Last month’s Oculus Gaming Showcase had an assortment of updates for current titles including Pixel Toys’ action-packed Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister. If you’ve not stepped into this sci-fi world of total war then now’s your chance as VRFocus has several codes for this Oculus Quest exclusive to giveaway.

Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister

Rather than a Space Marine, Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister puts you in the shoes of Sister Ophelia, one of the deadly Sisters of Battle. Hoping to find her long-lost twin sister whilst fighting the hordes of chaos you battle corrupt Chaos Space Marines, Daemons, Heretics, and other abominations. As you’d expect from a Warhammer 40k title you’re well equipped for the task with Bolters, Plasma Pistols, Flamers, Las Rifles, Power Swords, and Chainswords to hand. Plus, you’ll have magical Acts of Faith abilities allowing you to push back enemies and objects, create a force field, or slow time.

In addition to the core single-player campaign Pixel Toys has introduced a Horde Mode so players can battle wave after wave of monsters. The recent update added a multiplayer component so that you and a friend can team up and try to survive. To aid your chances every kill earns you resources that can be used to purchase weapons and ammunition.

Reviewing Warhammer 40,000 Battle Sister at launch VRFocus said: “Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister has some great set piece moments, and the general gameplay is enjoyable throughout. It’s action all the way, so there’s not much depth to the experience and no secrets to uncover. Just grab a gun and start blasting, which is no bad thing.”

Competition: Win The Climb 2 for Oculus Quest

The Climb 2

It may have been a little later than planned but this month saw Crytek’s highly anticipated virtual reality (VR) title The Climb 2 finally arrive for the Oculus Quest platform. And it certainly delivered, offering incredible vistas and shoulder stretching gameplay. VRFocus has teamed up with Crytek to offer our readers a chance to win a copy of The Climb 2 this week.

The Climb 2

Exclusive to Oculus Quest and Quest 2, The Climb 2 is all about scaling sheer rock faces, over hangs and even skyscrapers, looking for the best route to the top. The same physical gameplay returns for the original, where you can leap across chasems, perilously hang by your fingertips and try not to fall off.

There are also new features to contend with. Alongside 15 new maps, Crytek has introduced dynamic objects like ropes, containers, ladders, and climbing equipment that react to your weight for a realistic feel. Ledges can now crumble and some even cause damage by reducing your grip quicker. As you complete levels you’ll unlock customisation options with 32 gloves, 25 watches, and 36 wristbands available.

VRFocus’ review of The Climb 2 found the experience: “continues that simple, addictive gameplay that just draws you in, easy for newcomers to get to grips with whilst veterans should find enough new content to keep them happy. Crytek’s return to VR has been long overdue.”

Dash Dash: World

Only yesterday MotionX Studio released a major update for its racing title Dash Dash World adding new features such as Oculus Quest 2 enhancements, 8-player support and new tracks. To celebrate the 2.0 update and because its the festive season, VRFocus has teamed up with MotionX to offer our readers some Oculus Store codes so they can play it over the holiday.

Dash Dash World

Dash Dash World is a kart racer all about customisation and hectic battles with weaponry you can reach out and grab. Offering cross-play between the various Oculus Quest, Rift and SteamVR versions, there’s a solo mode offering over 200 races with both casual and hardcore modes. Competition: Win Spaceteam VR for Steam or Oculus Quest

Spaceteam VR

There’s just over a week to go until the festive holidays and in the spirit of giving VRFocus has teamed up with British virtual reality (VR) studio Cooperative Innovations for a new competition. We’re giving away Steam and Oculus Quest codes for co-op party title Spaceteam VR.

Spaceteam VR

One of the best things about Christmas is the family board game sessions, playing classics like Monopoly or a bit of Charades. 2020 being what it is, online party videogames can help to bring those separated together and Spaceteam VR offers just the sort of madcap, screaming gameplay everyone needs to unwind.

Spaceteam VR is an immersive reworking of the 2013 mobile title, allowing up to six players to participate in each round. Set aboard a spaceship in need of repair, all the players encircle a central console, each with their own station to attend. These are filled with various dials, buttons and levers to activate when the time comes, randomised for each round.

The ship’s computer will then issue orders for players which Cooperative Innovations refers to as “technobabble”. This means tasks aren’t exactly concise so everyone has to work together, complete the challenges and keep the ship in one piece. This invariably leads to lots of discussions (shouting) to get your point across.

Spaceteam VR

Additionally, Spaceteam VR includes a selection of tools like the repair hammer, fire extinguisher and Steri-Sponge 3000 for plenty of physical gameplay.

But Spaceteam VR isn’t purely an online multiplayer. There’s a single-player Practice Mode to get a feel for the gameplay or if there is a group of you together the local Face to Face mode allows one VR headset and then 5 mobile devices to connect.

And so onto the competition. VRFocus has Spaceteam VR codes available for Oculus Quest and Steam. All you need to do is follow us on Twitter and retweet this tweet ensuring that @VRFocus and @SpaceteamVR are tagged stating your preferred platform. The competition will close at midday on Friday 18th December, standard prize draw entry rules apply. Best of luck.
